I really appreciate that they made the Inqs feel scary again. Some of the most horrifically under-used potential in the franchise but those moments of Marrok with Lawson in the shadows are honestly spine-chilling. I really hope they don't make me eat my words because I haven't finished the episode yet but I haven't gotten this excited about the inquisitors in so, so long
Even just the points where we find out about Klyce's transfer? You feel the tension. The oppression just from the Empire's very presence. It's so subtle and it's so well-done
I didn't find any good artworks about her, so… I had to try to make something myself
Maul Shadow Lord wishlist:
Satine is significant in some way. PLEASE, I’ll take a fucking namedrop at this point, just let her have some impact on the story. We know that Maul’s still dealing with his Mandalorians since Rook Kast is in the trailer, and Rebels makes it clear that he still has some kind of lasting feelings wrt her, so it makes perfect sense. The Satine fans have been starving for years, give them something
The Inquisitors are at least somewhat threatening and semi-relevant, and the parallels between their situation and Maul’s are at least acknowledged. Seriously they could be perfect foils for Maul if the show actually lets them be real antagonists
Explanation of Marrok’s whole deal. How did he get reanimated? Why did that happen? I think it would be very hard to have Maul be the one who kills him, because 1). I don’t believe he has the knowledge to do Nightsister reanimation shit with him that sticks for 20+ years and 2). I see no reason why he would possibly want to do that. I’m wondering if his inclusion means that Elsbeth is going to appear at some point, which I’m very skeptical about
Backstory about the whole Black Sun thing from the end of Solo, because that’s been confusing for 9 years now. Also Qi’ra please bring back Qi’ra
Some kind of reference or foreshadowing to the Malachor Depression Hole. I DESPERATELY want this to just loom in the background of the show’s narrative. Anytime he does or says something dramatic about shattering the Empire I need the show to remind us that this will all end up with Malachor Depression Hole
Savage flashback(s). I’m very hopeful about this one because because the trailer does show Maul working with other Nightbrothers, and I feel like that’ll naturally bring up some Savage feelings. Please let Savage haunt the narrative, he’s the only character Maul has ever seemed to love (in the twisted, fucked-up way Maul knew how to love) and that should be so vital to his story
This fine gentleman with his hands and small waist and violent tendencies has captivated me
Aka I am going feral I need him like a crow with a shiny object I'm I'm going insane
Like Vader
Vader let me at him Vader pLEAse
I do not wish to FIX him I wish to be evil ALONGSIDE him
Let us make eachother worse Vader PLEASE
Don't be homophobic Vader smh

Future of the Force inspired doodles
So if Marrok and the Crow were Jedi like all the other Inquisitors... what the heck were their Jedi selves like? With the others I can at least see how they could have been Jedi (if we didn't outright see them as such), but with those two seeming like horror villains... yeah.
At least with Marrok we don't actually know what's under his armour (besides that weird green smoke in Ahsoka that may or may not be Nightsister magick shenanigans), but especially with Crow, did they always look like this? Or did becoming Inquisitors change them?
Like seriously, was there some creepy plague doctor grim reaper ass Jedi ominously walking through the halls of the Temple as everyone went about their day? Was there an unnaturally quiet and brooding dude with unnatural body movements ominously standing in places there?
Like, I know how someone looks and acts shouldn't be a judge of whether they're good or evil, but with how Filoni designed these two, it really makes you wonder how different they were as Jedi.
