Mirror shots!
Just finished the king and queen in the background. The frames and borders are not colored in yet, but they will, soon enough.
The king and queen are not supposed to be historically accurate, like the game itself, however, they are based on King Philip IV of Spain and Queen Mariana of Austria, parents of Margarita Teresa, as they appeared in Las Meninas. Their clothing styles are basically a watered down version of Baroque Spanish styles.
Currently working on a BG for the infanta game. This time, it's based on Las Meninas. I just colored in that guy who popped out from the door, but didn't even bother to color him in. The couple in the picture frame (possibly a king and queen) isn't even colored in yet. The wall and floor were overlaid with digital watercolor.
