I finally got around to watching the creepcast episode about mother horse eyes and good lord it fucking hits DIFFERENT when you're an addict. There is absolutely no way the author hasn't struggled with addiction or was very close to someone who did. Never before have I seen a piece of media understand the true core of addiction so well, at least based on how I experienced it. If I read this when I was in active addiction and in the depths of drug induced psychosis I genuinely think it would've sent me off the deep end. I need like a month to process this story before I can have any even remotely coherent thoughts about it.
