I saw this pin on pinterest of a fitspiration board and decided I wanted to make my own. I started with the same basic concept. I got a big bulletin board. Then I decided I was going to hang it right next to my bed so I could see it every day. My dad helped me by attaching it to the wall with some screws. I was ready to make my board. I needed some supplies,
I got tiny clothes pins
Card stock
Markers
Scissors
Push pins
Ribbon
First I thought about if I wanted the board to look exactly like the one I saw or similar.
I decided similar. They look very similar.
I started with the title at the top. I kept it the same. FITSPIRATION
I took 4 different color markers to make bubble letters and wrote them on a sheet of paper and then cut them out and tacked them to the top of the board with every two letters sharing a push pin.
Then I went to the clothes pins, I bought little tiny craft clothes pins people use to scrapbook with. I colored them 4 different colors. 1 clothespin = 1 lb. Then I attached then to some ribbon, I might change it out for string. Then I attached it to the board with some push pins. There are two sets of two ribbons. One is for how many I have to lose and the other is how many I have lost.
Then I made a workout plan.I looked at my schedule to see if there were any days that needed to be rest or yoga days and the only day was wednesday. So I decided wednesday would yoga and ten sunday would be rest. Even though I can’t exactly lift weights yet. I can do cardio. So signed up for planet fitness and in addition to walking at school, I walk about 2 miles, I do at least an hour of cardio. Once I get the okay to lift I will start adding in little by little.
On 2 separate pieces of paper, I put my goals and rewards. On my goals in it say’s when I want to reach certain goals like each 5% and 20%, then when I want to be done by. On my rewards it says every 5% percent I put money in a fund for new clothes when I hit goal weight. In addition every 5 lbs I lose I put 5 dollars in that fund, my tattoo fund, my vacation fund, and my no job fund. Then I have my other percentage rewards. I have a reward at every percentage, the bigger the percentage the bigger the reward.
I also have these little motivational saying, they are the same from the board I found, I really liked them. I added in my current goal. Which I am still in the beginning of my weight loss so it is at 5%. The original board had a calendar on the bottom but I didn’t want it there, it would be too small. So, I bought a largish white board and made a calendar on there, and color coded it so I know when I have certain events and certain special days.
It’s just a little something to help me stay on track. I also have my weight loss diary but I will post about that in another post.
Week 4- Half way there
I have hit my half mark to my first goal. I am hoping to lose 5%by 2/16. Right now I am about 10 lbs away from that and it is about 2 weeks away. It is a large feat but If i stop cheating as much and start really hitting it hard it may happen. I have cut down to about 1 soda a day. I am starting to drink roughly 64-80 oz of water a day.I knew this journey would be hard but I guess I didn’t expect certain other hardships to come up. It’s been a rough week for me. I am getting through it and moving on.I am trying to meal prep for work every night before I go to sleep. Waking up that much earlier to do it in the morning just isn’t ideal.
I am going to change how I have been doing my blog post. It’s become just a little too much I keep forgetting to post what I ate or forgetting to post a motivational picture. I am no longer going to post what I eat every day. I am going to try and post everyday a motivational photo with a story. Once a week I going to post my progress.
I made myself a fitspiration board. It will help me visually see how I am doing every week. How far from my goal and what my next goal is. I will post a picture of it later. It was really fun to make. I also have made myself a weight loss Diary. I’ll post all about that another day. Maybe tomorrow. That is what helps me keep track of what I am eating, what kind of exercise I am doing and cheat day meals. It really has been helping me. I visually see where I am at and I write down what I eat right after I eat it so at the end of the day when I put it all in my fitbit app I see how many calories I have been in taking and how many I am putting out based on my exercise for the day.
My fitbit is also a huge help in all of this. I see how many steps I take each hour right on my wrist and if I haven’t walked enough it says hey, get your butt up and move. I can also tell it I am about to go run and it will track it and tell me where I was running/biking and so on. Sometimes it also tracks it on its own. The other day I was snow blowing my driveway for my dad and it thought I was riding a bike, haha. Sometimes it is a little off but what are you going to do. I love it though. It not only tracks activity but in the app in addition to putting in my food, I can also keep track of my water. It’s great. It also tracks my sleep. I have the fitbit blaze and I love it.
