When your relationship with your sibling isn't great it's hard to relate to those sentimental posts about missing living down the hall from each other or sharing clothes. My shared history with my older brother is bittersweet because i feel relief when he leaves the family gathering but miss sitting next to him and watching him play computer games. I roll my eyes when he sends me mildly offensive videos on social media but a lot of my favourite bands and shows were once his. We were once siblings, now we're relatives, and i sit and watch my friends play games because even if i could sit next to my brother like when we were 8 and 11, it wouldn't be the same.

Turns out that 2am at the WinCo is a magical arena. Best and worst grocery shopping experience of my life. I was called babygirl by the nicest cashier on planet earth, he rang in my raspberries as a dollar because he didn't want to fight with the machine, so relatable. There was also this older woman, another shopper, who helped him rub tiger balm on his sore neck. Anyway, I'm hoping the rest of his graveyard shift goes well.

Linden and Col really are totally equal in my eyes. like, it's Linden's story as much as it is Col's story. Linden isn't an accessory in his life, although he adopts the caretaker role. they both come into each others lives and change them.....
