RAINY DAY IN WITH IGNIS

Ignis doesn’t usually get days off, so when it rains it’s kind of one for him

He gets to stay home and relax, have a little break

You take it as an excuse to look after him and spoil him, and he lets you

Reluctantly at first but then he eases into it and is grateful for you

(More of this in this other headcanon I wrote)

But mostly, rainy days mean you get to stay in and be lazy

They mean you get to be self-indulgent and do whatever you want

Most of the time, it’s just sitting down together to chat and catch up

Just having a hot cocoa or coffee or any other warm beverage

And telling the other about your days and about other things

You also get to do any activities that you enjoy doing together

Sometimes you do something simple like watch a movie or documentary

Other times you work on that puzzle you’ve been making together for months

Or putting some romantic music and slow dancing, holding on to each other

Other times, though, you convince him to do something a little more unique

Ignis can be very serious and maybe even too dull

But you once convinced him to do a pillow fort with you

You just take this as an opportunity to be intimate and a bit childish

To be playful even and get closer to Ignis and play around a little

Ignis ended up loving certain things, like the pillow forts

It reminds him of childhood, of a calmer time without responsibilities

And he really appreciates that he gets to sit there with you

It’s really cozy as he snuggles you and hears the rain

On those rainy days, Ignis also loves cooking some snacks

Cooking relaxes him and he also makes you happy with the food

So he might excuse himself and return a bit later with your favorite

Even if it’s just popcorn, he loves the excitement in your face when you see it 

Also, playing with each other’s hair a lot, rainy days mean messy hair

And just lots of cute domestic intimate affection and softness

Who among them dances like Kenny Crow, though?

Noctis - The Awkward Prince

Noctis likes listening to music as it gets his blood pumping.

He would subtly bob his head to the beat but if he’s feeling really into it, expect him to sway a bit to the song, an unconscious biting of his lips ensues, much to the bros’ endless teasing.

When it comes to dancing however, don’t ask the prince to dance if you’re not on his posse.

Stranger? No thanks.

But if the bros start dancing, initiated by Prompto, followed by a very good dancer named Gladio, expect Noctis to dance a bit.

The prince doesn’t have a particular dance style, expect him to sway his body from side to side and raising his hands in the air if he feels like it.

Dancing with the bros does not require the best dance moves nor coordination. It’s only pure craziness.

When someone he likes is suddenly thrust into the dance scene beside him, at first Noct goes from having fun to being shy.

But when his crush starts laughing as they dance to the beat, being their usual self, Noct would gain confidence and start dancing with them.

Bold is rarely the word for the prince when it comes to things like this, but if he’s feeling extra brave, he’d hold his crush’s waist as he dances with them, a playful smile decorating his lips.

A younger Noct wouldn’t dare do the, um, grind, but mind you, with enough signals from his crush, he’d be down with it. Nothing dirty, just losing himself in the feeling of holding his dear one close and inhaling the sweet scent of them.

By the end of the night, Noct is hooked.

Don’t try to put V in the dance scene, however, if you do not want to make a mess of the Prince.

Prompto - The Energy Bunny

Prompto, despite looking like a shy and clumsy chocobo, is actually a killer on the dance floor.

Not a killer, of course. But he’s gonna slay anyone who challenges him to a dance off.

Sunshine Kid’s energy and dance moves are the best around. He likes dancing to keep his blood pumping, plus it gives him an extra boost of happiness.

Prompto loves watching those choreography videos on Nextube and he’d try to imitate the steps with success.

He’s not all about the dance moves however, because Prompto’s charisma is infectious.

He’d be all smiles as he dances, but he’d get very much into it too that he’d look like a total badass of the dance floor.

But he’s not doing this to look cool, though. Sunshine Kid just loves to dance. His fave goofy moves? Why, the Kenny Crow dance of course! Followed by the cowboy bounce and the running man. He ain’t Sunshine Kid without being a goofball, of course.

If he’s only listening to the music, a.k.a. watching his friends dance as he gobbles down on spicy food and chugging down a cold drink, he’d bob his as he’d tap his fingers on the floor.

Expect his feet to tap to the beat too. It’s like his body can’t contain itself that he has to dance it all out.

He’s the one who initiates the dancing. He won’t be too confident to try and dance on the dance floor at first. He’d dance by the corner or by the table all by his lonesome…for a few seconds. He’d then drag Noct or whoever it is that is fortunate or unfortunate enough to be in near proximity.

If he spotted his crush in the crowd, Sunshine Kid is nowhere to be seen.

The bros would eventually find him stress eating by their table or pretending to be busy taking photos to avoid talking to that person.

And let’s not forget the selfies. By the end of the night, expect lots of selfies with the bros and all the people he’s made friends with. And lots of stolen shots. That’s Prompto for ya.

Gladiolus - A Vision on the Dance Floor

Gladio likes any kind of music. So if someone plays some really good beats, expect him to really try and rock to it.

He’s confident in his dancing. He doesn’t have any dance moves in his pockets like Prompto, but boy, can this man dance.

The way Gladiolus carries himself as he busts a groove makes it look as if he’s doing some sort of photo shoot.

He is not shy to dance either in a reserved fashion like swaying his body from side to side, or from going full on with his dancing.

This guy’s energy is hard to match, only at par with Sunshine Kid himself.

Gladio is open to dancing with a stranger, given that they’re nice and all. If they’re jerks, expect him to walk away with an irritated scowl.

He’s the kind of guy who would boldly ask someone to dance with him or with his friends if they’re alone or too shy.

He won’t be overpowering; in fact, he’d be very friendly with them. He’d strike up a really good conversation as they dance with ease.

The bros are not surprised if the big guy ends up making friends, or having a number written on his arm or his hand.

If Gladio sees his crush in the dance floor, he’ll call out to them.

He’s very happy to find them as he’s having fun and is willing to do his best to make them feel the same way.

He doesn’t dance to impress, but if that is what will take for his crush to really notice how, ripped, uh, good-looking he is, then by all means, he would.

Gladio is the kind who would talk about different things to anyone while dancing. From nonsensical things and jokes to deep philosophical things like do you think the stars stare back at us and all that.

Ignis - The Suave One

Ignis prefers to listen to music, thank you very much.

He’d be that friend who seem to have their butts glued to the seat and would make up every excuse not to dance.

‘I’m too drunk’ (he’s drinking Ebony; in fact, none of the bros drink liquor anyway in precaution to avoiding any mischief), or ‘I sprained my foot, ah, ankle’, ‘My glasses are too foggy’, ‘Cor is in the crowd’ (gasp) and such.

The bros would leave him to his lonesome.

Ignis is very happy to be left alone. He fishes out his phone and begins playing King’s Knight. The bros are missing out on the level up bonus on a Friday night. Iggy smirks.

He’d find his foot tapping to the beat and he’s cool with that. Ignis Scientia likes listening to whatever makes him feel better, no matter the genre.

The only time you can find Ignis on the dance floor is if he is avoiding someone.

There was one time when a lady bumped into his seat and asked if he wanted to dance. She was very beautiful, yes, but he found that from a corner of the bar that a man as big and fearsome as Gladio was glaring at him as if he was throwing daggers at Iggy in the dark. Ignis excused himself with regret but peace goes first before romance. A sad affair, really.

Gladio is the first to sense if something was amiss and would call out to Iggy to join the bros in the dance floor.

Prompto’s incessant dance moves proven to make Ignis Scientia laugh and Noct’s annoying teases would push the Master Tactician to bust a few moves of his own.

Ignis can dance. His spatula can attest to that.

If anyone can catch Iggy dancing, consider yourself blessed. 

Ignis looks so damn sexy as he dances. He’d push his glasses up and dances effortlessly it’s almost criminal. AND THAT SMIRK.

Once Ignis’ apple of his eye is suddenly in the room, Ignis would halt any tomfoolery and act the mature one in the group (he already is, but, multiply that twice).

He’ll see if this person would look at him as his friends would dance about. If they did, he would look away as if he himself wasn’t staring at them in the first place.

It works, of course. Ignis finds himself talking to this person but keeping everything about him mysterious. 

He’s not touchy, though, so don’t expect him to grab you out of nowhere and start swaying those hips. He’s a gentleman.

At the end of the night, Ignis Scientia has gotten almost everyone smitten with him. 

Noct gives him the stink eye from the back of the car. Remind him not to bring Specs to the dance club again.

V - The Closeted Dancer

The lady above is Veritas Lux Seculum in her typical battle gear. I finally made her own GIF! I made a character model for her in FFXV Comrades and I’m so happy to have made her first GIF! Of course it had to be the goofy one, ha!

She’s almost always sitting by the table with Iggy, discussing matters and even jokes. Iggy approves.

But then Prompto would drag her away to the dance floor and would make her laugh with his cowboy and running man dance moves.

Gladio joins in the moment he sees this and would try and joke about, raising V’s hands in the air to ease her nervousness.

Veritas is too cautious and reserved most of the time, so a little dance wouldn’t hurt.

Once she sees that everyone is having fun, she’d let loose a little bit.

Immortals aren’t boring on the dance floor. They’re adorable!

This barely 5′ short tall lady starts by swaying her body to the beat and similar to Noct, she would raise her hands in the air, just losing herself to the groove.

But if the mood finally strikes, she would drop all facades and dance to her heart’s content.

She’s not afraid to go disco or latin or hiphop or anything. Sunshine Kid challenges her to imitate his moves and she complies but throws in a bit of her take to it.

V is the kind of person who would laugh as she dances and likes to engage in conversation like Gladio.

Her usual dance partner is Prompto and she’s always down to being a goofball with him.

Their fun energy is infectious that even Noct starts dancing with them.

If V looks at the Prince however, he’d look away.

V loves dancing with her friends, but if Ravus suddenly calls her, expect her to excuse herself and head outside the club to talk.

The only way to get her back is to say that Gladio has had too much to drink (of course not). They only want their best mate to stay for the fun.

noctis:

noctis is either all for cuddling or he doesn't want to be touched at all, but more often than not he defaults into a cuddly mood even when he doesn't want to be touched

one moment he’ll be upset and pushing you away saying he doesn't want touched and the next he’ll have changed his mind and be hugging you close

he prefers to have you in his arms rather than the other way around

he likes to be completely entwined with you, basically hugs all around

honestly just wrap your body around him like an octopus, but only if he initiates it first

noct isn't one to want to show affection in public or even around his friends but cuddles in the regalia still manage to happen and be one of his favorite things

you’ll be sitting in the back, wedged between noct and gladio and noct will wrap his arm around you so your head is against his shoulder. he’ll pull your legs over his so you are almost in his lap but not quite

he’ll brush the tops of your legs or your hands with his free hand while the other wrapped around you pulls you closer to his body

the soft hum of the car mixed with your breathing relaxes him like nothing else

prompto:

prompto is such a sucker for cuddling

he lacked a lot of that type of affection growing up and now that he has someone to cuddle up to he can’t get enough

he loves the whole big spoon and little spoon dynamic of one person holding the other and honestly he couldn't tell you which he prefers more

prom really enjoys being able to hold you in his arms, your back pressed against him

yet the opposite is just as amazing. theres a particular vulnerability in him letting you hold him as the big spoon and he finds it incredibly comforting

after a particularly tough hunt or fight prompto will find himself making his way back to your warm embrace

alone in the hotel room while the other boys go to eat he’ll let you wrap your arms around him

he likes the warm feeling of your steady breathes against his neck as he tells you about the perils he and the others had faced

he’s unafraid to admit to you just how terrified he was while you gently run your fingers up and down his arms

ignis:

iggy can be surprisingly stiff when you first try to cuddle with him

he’s just not entirely sure what you want of him

where do his hands go?? are they too low on your back?? too high??

luckily he can analyze you pretty quick, making sure to rest his hands best

of course his actual favorite thing is to have his hand entwined with yours when you are cuddled up together

he might hold your hands normally or he might take one hand in his and just gently feel the smoothness and the rough patches of the skin

his fingers mindlessly playing with each joint in your own fingers

some nights after dinner around the campfire when the other boys have gone off to bed he’ll pull you into his lap, chin resting on your shoulder

he’ll buy his face in your neck and hum lightly against your skin while he weaves his fingers with yours

its one of the few times he’ll take off his gloves so he can feel intimately close to you

gladio: 

cuddling with gladio is like cuddling a giant muscular teddy bear

rain is one of the best ways to get him in the mood to snuggle up

when the weather is nice he’d rather be outside, but give him poor rainy or snowy weather and the only place he wants to be with you wrapped up in his arms

sleeping bags are his favorite spot to cuddle up

given his size, space becomes limited in the confines of a zipped sleeping bag 

the warmth combined with the sheer closeness of your bodies is like heaven on eos

on the road you once got trapped out in a storm and took refuge in the remains of an old barn

gladio of course had camping gear with him and set up a small spot in a dry corner for the two of you to wait out the storm

trying to stay warm, you snuggled up in a single sleeping bag 

his hand gently stroked the curve of your back as the two of you listened to the sounds of the rain hitting the old metal roof above your heads

Hi, so this would be my first FFXV fic, first imagine/reader insert ever, and also the first thing I've written in like a year. Ya'll dragged me into this hell and I have no intent on leaving so here's a random contribution, its like 7 am and I've been up since noon yesterday. I have no idea if I'll do the others, but please enjoy and I hope I didn't fuck Ignis up too badly. >.>

Summary: Ignis returns home after two weeks to find that Fem!Reader has adopted a cat.

Word Count: 1,404

You take a deep breath, glancing at the clock next to the couch you were sitting on. It was 7:28, and at exactly 7:30, Ignis would return to your shared apartment after being gone for two weeks. You yourself had returned home two days ago, spending a weekend with your sister who’d moved out near Hammerhead.

As per usual, you’d tidied up any clothing you’d left about and prepared a moderately decent dinner. More of a baker than anything else, you did manage to finish a fresh loaf of bread to feel sufficiently complete.

However, unlike the normal routine, you had a surprise that you hoped your beloved strategist would warm up to. Everything required was in its place, all systems go.

At precisely 7:30 (never bet on the Punctuality™️ of Ignis Stupeo Scientia, you’d learned by the third date), the sound of the lock clicks and in walks your long awaited for boyfriend, rolling suitcase in hand.

“Hello Y/N,” he smiles as you glide over, gently kissing your forehead and then your mouth as you take the roller out of his hand. “How was your sister?”

Because of course he would be gone two weeks and immediately ask how your weekend trip went.

“She’s great,” you kiss the corner of his mouth and begin rolling his belongings to the laundry room. “She's really loving that ol’ desert life. How was your trip?”

“Same as always, I suppose,” he tries to shrug it off, but you can always tell when he's pleased with the results. “We were successful in our negotiations.”

“Noct wake up on time at least once?” you giggle, glancing around the floor.

“Twice, a new record. What on Eos are you looking for?”

“Oh, nothing,” you wrap your arms around him, inhaling his scent. “Just making sure I cleaned up my messes.”

“Everything looks right as rain, darling,” he nuzzles into your neck. If he suspected anything, he revealed nothing. Well, two could play with poker face. “I missed you.”

“Missed you too, Iggy.” Alright, stick to the plan. “I made dinner, nothing too fancy. Figured you would wanna relax,” you chirp.

“My love, you’re too good for me,” he runs a gloved hand through your hair. “I would’ve been fine with takeaway, or cooked if you’d preferred.” His fingers have a light dusting of flour when he pulls back. “You've even made bread.”

“Of course, Ignis. Don't be ridiculous,” you lightly smack his shoulder. “You've been gone for two weeks, the least I can do is make you a home cooked meal on your first night back.”

You understood his feelings of obligation to take care of everything and everyone before himself, you practically raised your sister and Noctis, Gladio, and Prompto referred to you and Ignis as the Mom Friend Power Couple. Mostly because you would force your boyfriend to take a sick day for physical and mental health and step in for small chores. (Noctis loved this, since you never forced obvious vegetables on him, usually feeding him either whole wheat macaroni and cheese or saucy zucchini pastas with fresh cookies. You also weren't too overzealous with cleaning.)

Fortunately, you balanced each other out, because in order for you to be happy and safe, Ignis had to be as well and vice versa. It was a good way to form self caring habits.

“Well luckily for me, I've been craving fresh bread all day, and yours is always the best, my dear,” Ignis followed his nose toward the kitchen as your ego soared. You could literally never get over him praising your baking skills. It was the highest honour from the man who cooked for the king. (Then again, the king himself also complimented your bread. Noctis claimed he would eat it all the time if he could. You’d teasingly remind that he’d get fat.)

“Hey! Sit down at the table,” you dragged your chef out of the kitchen. “It's still my time.” You sat the loaf of bread onto the table, along with a knife and butter dish. Ignis sat patiently, admiring your dedication to caring for him. Your hair still in a ponytail, oven mitts pulling out five cheese lasanga. Back turned, you didn't even hear the sound in the other room, didn't hear your bespectacled man get up to investigate the jingling intruder.

“Well, well, well, what do we have here?” You froze as you heard his voice, quickly placing the lasanga on the counter and turning off the oven. You dashed to the other room where Ignis stood in the doorway. He looked toward the den sofa, right at your new friend. Then he turned to look at you.

“Surprise,” you said slightly awkwardly, jazz handing.

“Y/N, how on Eos did you end up with a cat?” he’s not upset, just thoroughly surprised, though you can tell it’ll take some getting used to.

“Ah, you see,” you began sheepishly, walking over and scooping up the orange tabby. He'd clearly woken up from his nap and was startled when his jingle ball was pushed by the door. “I stopped to refuel and say hi to Cindy and Cid. And Cindy had found a box of kittens out behind the shop a couple of days before. A couple of employees took a two, and Cid took a liking to one for rats...and I said I would take Fred.”

“Fred?”

“After Fred Weasley, may he rest in peace.”

“Darling,” he pinches the bridge of his nose. “This is a big responsibility.”

“I've had cats all my life, Iggy,” you scratch Fred between the ears. “I’m practically a crazy cat lady. I know how to take care of one. And I have the rest of the week before I go back to work so I can help him adjust.” Fred purred and looked at Ignis with wide, emerald eyes.

Ignis sighs. “I know, my dear. I simply fear he’ll be unhappy with me. You know I've never been keen with animals and they with me.” His shoulders sag slightly, an expression of failure.

“Oh, Ignis,” You place a hand on his cheek, looking him in the eye. “You just got home, but Fred will love you in no time.”

“I trust you, dear,” he holds you hand to his face. “If you could love me, hopefully Fred will accept me fine. If all goes well, this shall end in our favor. But a cat, though?” A mild grimace shudders through him as he closes his eyes. Fred seems to sense this and swats at Ignis’s shirt. Your boyfriend looks in shock, mirroring Fred’s cocked stare. “You see?” he's flustered.

“You’ll see,” you laugh. “It's literally dealing with Noctis.”

A couple of days later, you get a call from work. You’re needed for a surprise health inspection at your cafe, and grumble at the inconvenience but it's only mildly so because you own the damn place and will carry on an extra day of vacation.

“You're leaving me with him?” Ignis is appalled. So far, he and Fred have not taken to each other. Your usually agile boyfriend stepped on Fred's tail, who retaliated with face swats in the night and puking on the carpet for Ignis to step on. Twice. “He despises me.”

“I’ll be gone two hours, tops. You’ll be fine, Iggy,” You kiss his cheek while pulling your hair back, Fred rolling with his jingle ball under the table. “Cats are notorious for loving the non-cat people the most.” And with that, you left your unusually panicking boyfriend with an adorable-but-apparently-demonic kitten.

Despite a small issue with the dumpster being five and half feet and not six from the building, you passed your health inspection swimmingly. You were still exhausted from the bitchiness of the inspector and were ready to spend the day with your lover and kitty as initially planned.

You opened the door to the smell of cooked fish, salmon to be exact. Seasoned with something delicious, you followed your nose to find it at the table. Several small plates, all appearing to have different herbs and seasonings. Tiny bites in all of them. Fred sat in front of his selection, chewing, with Ignis intently looking into a printed out PDF with the title, Cuisine for Your Cat.

“Uhh…” you had no words.

Ignis looked up from the PDF, eyes wild, hair disheveled.

◇ Some nights Noctis, Gladio and Prompto will bicker with each other about what Ignis should cook. Ignis just stands there, pinching the bridge of his nose as he considers just when did this trip make him a baby sitter.

◇ Ignis used to try and hide the vegetables that Noct hates in his meals but was often found out. The stubbornness of the prince has almost made him entirely give up trying. Almost. He still tries to talk him into some veggies.

◇ Often has trouble sleeping. Its one of the reasons that he can be one of the first of the group to rise. Often it is because he cannot turn his mind off and often gets to thinking about the many dangers Noct is in and will continue to be in.

◇ After a fight, Ignis will go over his form and performance in his head. If there was a moment he found where he did not perform to his standards, he starts considering and thinking of ways to fix it, almost to the point of obsession.

Noct

Sleeps with at least 5 pillows

One is absolutely a body pillow

Has fallen out of the regalia more times than he cares to admit

Prompto has photo evidence of at least 3 times in the past week

Will try to pretend to be asleep so Gladdy will pick him up

Gladdy just shoves him, he knows the game

Is always SO much more worried about his boys than he will ever show

Prompto’s gone?, He can’t sleep solidly.

Iggy’s away?, He’s up playing ‘King’s Knight’ all night (Gladdy and Prompt don’t complain, they understand 110%)

Gladdy’s decided to go on his own again for a while?, He is always on edge, ant noise breaks his concentration to make sure everything is okay

Prompt

Has kept every chocobo feather he’s found (keeps them in a lace pouch, remembers every chocobo they fell from)

Has tried to play ‘connect the dots’ with his freckles on more than one occasion

Used sharpie one time, couldn’t wash it all off, Noct and Gladdy called him names for hours after

Is always delighted when Iggy asks him to help with food (will still complain tho bc he’s a child let’s be real)

Will 100% desensitise when his past is bought up (hug the babe pls)

Will stop to pat any animal, especially cats, he sees.

Goes to call out when Noct falls out the Regalia

Gladdy

Covers Promptos mouth from behind so he doesn’t tell Iggy

Don’t let him see you knock Iggy out

He will desensitise and fuck up anyone in his way

Prompto, Noctis, anyone. He. Will. Barrel. Them. Down.

Will hate himself afterwards if he happened to hurt one of the boys in his rage

When he disappeared for a while, he lived off cup noodles. Fight me. He missed iggy’s cooking but it was cup noodle bliss

Will stop to pet any cat that Prompto see’s with him

Will tell Iggy when he has a smudge on his glasses

Iggy

Is already SO AWARE of the smudge

Is just trying to play it cool like it hasn’t bothered him

It bothered him from the moment his thumb touched the lense, didn’t want to be at fault

Will make Noct eat a veggie at least once a day

Enjoys eating out and not listening to Noctis complain about veggies on the rare occasion, but will not tell anyone

Never messes up his coffee in the morning

Noct and prompt have tried to distract him in the making of his coffee many times in order to mess up his measurements

He never does

Haha, in one of my reader inserts it would show that sort ofrelationship. As for the gender and such of the child lately I’ve been usingrandom die rolls to determine such a thing instead of pre-plotting though I’veplotted out him having a daughter and son for my own OC at times. I would talkof those fan-children, but that’s a post for another day for me, as I do havedesigns to sketch out and do for them. C’: So be alert for those in the future,I guess. Here, I’ll just make it general and cover all possibilities and timelines. X3;

SCREAMS sorry this ended up being more angsty than cute. no matter how i tried i just couldn’t write these in a cute fluff way cuz i think their s/o getting seriously hurt after a tense battle would really rattle them. i hate but also love angst. i tried making each boy different even though i think they’d all be pretty similar. also i feel like i don’t write Gladio well at all… i struggle most with him.

Noctis

The moment you got hurt Noctis would freeze up. He wouldn’t believe it was real. It was a dream, right? You were fine, right? One of the other bros rushing to you yelling your name would snap him out of it. He would rush to your side panicking, not really processing what he should be doing. Once you’re stabilized, he just kind of shuts down. He sits by your side while you rest and doesn’t say a word with a blank stare. He might hold your hand but he just sits there frozen. It really hits him that he almost lost you and he doesn’t know how to handle that. The thought of losing you really shut him down and it’s causing him more anxiety than he knows how to handle. When you wake up and see the horrified look on his face, he mutters an apology to you. He blames himself. He should have protected you. He should know by now to protect what is precious to him fiercely. Even after you recover and comfort and reassure him, it still sits with him for a while. He keeps a closer eye on you in battle and holds you a little tighter at night. He won’t let it happen again. You won’t be the next thing he loses.

Prompto

When he sees you fall in battle, he shrieks your name and everything is in slow motion for a minute. He wants to run to you as fast as he can but his legs feel like lead. He pushes on anyway and sprints to you as fast as he can with tears starting to well up in his eyes but he tries to hold them back. Once he reaches you, he quickly checks over you and looks for your injuries as he’s starting to hiccup and his hands are shaking violently. Someone else quickly rushes over and takes over what he was attempting to do. He just sits there horrified, crying in his hands and apologizing to you. After you’re stabilized, he curls up next to you and cries some more. He can’t stop apologizing. He was supposed to keep you safe. And he failed. He almost lost you because he wasn’t protecting you like he should have been. Depending how long you’re out, he’d probably cry himself to sleep. Once you wake, he cradles you in his arms and kisses the top of your head. He tells you that he loves you and he’s sorry this happened. He doesn’t leave your side as you recover and cares for you the best he can. He doesn’t ever want to have to go through again. He cannot bare to lose you. You’re his everything.

Gladio

If anything, Gladio’s on top of things. He’s attentive and probably foresaw you getting hurt in this battle and tried to prevent it but something unexpected got in his way and he didn’t reach you in time. Because of this, he really blames himself for your injuries. If the battle is still going on when he gets to you, he’ll scoop you up and carry you somewhere safe and quickly heal you with a hi-potion or elixir before returning to the battle and finishing it up so you’re not in anymore danger. After, he’ll return to you and thoroughly check you more for injuries and treat you more appropriately. While Ignis is usually the medic, Gladio is surprisingly efficient with first aid and quickly takes care of you. After you’re resting comfortably, he’ll sit by your side with his book and tend to you as you need it. He’ll clean your wounds, change your bandages, whatever you need. When you wake, he’ll crack a smile at you and say “heh, welcome back sleeping beauty”. He doesn’t want you to know he was really worried and stressing but oh boy he was. That was too close for comfort. He holds you a little tighter that night and doesn’t let you go.
