a = admiration (what do they absolutely adore about you?)

ignis is so adoring of you, it’d be hard to pick just one thing :( i think one thing he especially loves to see is your determination though. your drive, what gets you going, the way that if you set your mind on something, you won’t give it up. even with simple things. it makes him go starry eyed whenever he sees you in such an intense light.

b = bonding (what's their favorite mutual bonding activity?)

i’d say ignis likes the quiet moments with you; his favorite is late night drives with you, though — the faint hum of the radio pricking your ears as you take in insomnia during nightfall. he can’t help but occasionally let his eyes trace your side profile in wonder.

c = cuddling (how do they like to cuddle?)

ignis hates the feeling of being too hot so he’s not the biggest fan of letting you cling onto him at night, but he’ll always be with you in some form. usually it’s your ankles locked together or your fingers interlaced — even if you’re upset at each other, he’ll always leave his leg close enough to where he can feel your body heat radiating off your skin.

d = dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?)

i’d say he’s pretty willing to do whatever you feel like that night! whether that’s him cooking a homemade meal for you or going out to eat at a nice restaurant.

e = emotions (how do they express emotion around you?)

ignis is a firm believer in communication = a healthy relationship. he’s emotionally mature enough to be able to articulate his feelings and hopes that you can do the same.

f = family (do they want one? If they do, when?)

i think he might be really enveloped in his royal duties but he’s definitely considered starting a family with you one day. initially, he thought about it happening once the situation with noctis and lunafreya settled, but after being blinded, ignis fears the day (if he ever decides to go through with starting a family post-vision loss) that he won’t be able to see his newborn child in his arms.

g = gifts (how do they feel about gift giving? what are their habits when it comes to this?)

ignis’ gifts are simple but thoughtful! offhanded comments you’ve made will appear for you if he’s able to get his hands on them. grocery list you made that you’re too lazy to go to the store and fulfill? he swears he’s going to the bathroom and yet he comes back into the living room with bags full of groceries. a pretty necklace you eyed in the storefront window? he’s already clasping it around your neck as you hold your hair.

ignis is far too selfless to ask for anything from you but he’s always so touched if you decide to gift him something back! he cherishes everything you give him but especially loves practical gifts or something he can use — that way, he can always think of you when he uses them.

h = holding hands (when/how do they like to hold hands?)

classic interlocked fingers as you walk together is his go-to when he’s not wearing his gloves. when he is, usually he just puts his hand in yours then, no lacing of fingers :) he worries that they get in the way and you’d find them uncomfortable. usually, he’ll hold your hand when you’re in public or crossing the street or in bed. just not when he’s at work!

i = injury (how would they act if you got hurt?)

it ultimately depends on whether you put yourself in danger or not .. if you’re sparring or you did it irrationally in the midst of a battle, he’d be a little annoyed. if it’s something through no fault of your own, he’d just be worried. either way, he’d insist on patching you up with hushed words and a kiss atop your head.

j = jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?)

he’s not much of a joker but on the chance he does crack a joke, they’re very dry or sarcastic but you can always hear the smile in his voice — it makes one of your own play upon your lips. he doesn’t find much enjoyment in pranks and thinks they’re rather silly.

k = kisses (how do they like to kiss you?)

oh don’t get me STARTED. ignis is probably one of the best kissers ever; a gentle hand on the back of your neck as it’s tangled in your hair, his intense gaze flickering between your eyes and your lips as he waits until the last moment where you’re both on the brink of losing your breath. his lips meld against yours with a slow pace, he thinks the intimacy of it is the best part.

l = love confession (how'd they confess to you? how'd you get together?)

it depends on who you are! if he’s known you for a while or you’re a childhood friend or someone both him and noctis know, he’ll wait until he’s sure of your feelings (or if you outright tell him yourself). he doesn’t want to risk ruining it with you and would rather preserve any connection with you.

if you were a total stranger that he found beautiful as maybe noctis pushed him to talk to, then he’d be much more smoother.

m = memory (favorite memory together?)

one night, you could see the tension in his body as he rubbed at his temples — so you took it upon yourself to urge him to lay his head in your lap. he’ll never forget the way your fingers gingerly took his glasses off, he could barely feel them sliding off his face. you whispered for him to close his eyes, and he followed. with that, your fingers traced along his face; the slope of his nose, the arch of his brow bone, circular motions against his forehead.

it was the most loved he’s ever felt, being handled so gently. he never thought he needed something like that until you gave it to him. you do it now sometimes, as well. all he can feel and think about your fingers. he can’t see you anymore, but god he wishes he took advantage of those moments. he wishes he had never closed his eyes.

n = nightmare (what is their worst fear?)

ignis most fears you being hurt or dying on his watch. he hates to feel powerless, especially with how he knows he’s so capable.

o = obvious (how obvious do they make it that they like you?)

not as obvious as he thinks he’s being. sure, he’ll maybe show a gentler side around you or even afford you a smile he’s never shown anyone except maybe noctis — but other than that, it’s not that far off from how he normally acts.

p = pet names (what do they like to call you?)

he doesn’t call you many petnames as they sound choked on his tongue, but ‘love’ seems to fall right off when he talks to you.

q = quality time (how do they like to spend time with you?)

quiet moments are his favorite! just basking in each other’s presence, like you sitting at the kitchen table while he stirs a pot. you lying against him while his eyes scan a book. it doesn’t matter if the two of you talk or not, he doesn’t mind either way.

r = romance (how romantic are they?)

ignis can be sooo romantic .. he loves to remind you how loved you are when it’s just the two of you in bed at night, low whispers to each other and featherlight caresses. along with his gifts as well! he shows it in a more lowkey way and he may not be the most physically affectionate guy in the kingdom, but he loves you wholeheartedly and it shows with what he does.

s = secrets (how open are they with you?)

as aforementioned, communication = healthy relationships, he thinks! of course you’re allowed to have some small secrets, he doesn’t need to know every little detail in your life and you don’t need to know every one in his, that’s just privacy. but for big things or decisions or anything like that, he’d like to know and he mostly tells you about any of his as well.

t = time (how long did it take you to get together?)

again, depends on who you are. someone he’s friends with/he knows? a while. more of a stranger? not as long as it would have if you were someone he knew quite well.

u = unique (what makes them unique?)

unique is subjective but ignis puts all his attention in everything he does, whether that’s royal advisory or his relationship with you. he’s loyal to the word is soaked into his bone and he’s always considerate of how you feel.

v = vaunt (what are they proud of? do they like to show you off?)

he’s proud of you as a whole! especially your accomplishments. he’ll show you off if you express that you’d like something like that, but he doesn’t feel the need to boast about you (although he is proud of you). he thinks acknowledging the love you both mutually share is enough.

w = warrior (how do they feel about you fighting? would they fight for you, beside you, etc?)

ignis can’t control anything you do and he knows that — if you really want to fight, he won’t stop you but he’d rather fight alongside you if that’s the case. he knows you’re capable, he won’t coddle you.

x = x-ray (how well are they able to read you?)

it’s scary how well he can read you. you joke that you’re interlinked and he huffs out a small laugh. maybe you guys actually are..

y = yes (how would they propose to you?)

he’d probably go back to where you first met or had your first date. he wouldn’t put you through the ringer or make you think he’s against marriage or wasn’t gonna propose to you — if you find out, that’s okay, he’s gonna do it anyway so what does it matter?

z = zzz (how do they act when they're sleepy? what's it like sharing a bed with them?)
