Here’s some random spicy Tseng HC about what he’s like... in bed. 👀

Intimacy for Tseng is... difficult. He’s not a trusting person and doesn’t like to show any weakness. Letting his guard down even around you is incredibly difficult and goes against his nature. 

He does performative acts of intimacy to please you. He’ll hold your hand when it’s just the two of you, he’ll let you nuzzle your nose into his neck on the couch after a long day, he’ll kiss your cheek in the morning before he leaves for the office. It takes a while to even work up to him doing those things unprompted though. He’s incredibly stiff at the beginning of your relationship. When you reach for his hand and grasp it in your own, he flinches. When you go to lay your head on his shoulder, he tenses up. “it’s just the two of us, Tseng.” you mumble into his shoulder. He gets over it eventually and even comes to enjoy it (not that he’ll admit it). 

True intimacy though is harder for him. You realize pretty early into your relationship that you barely know anything about him. He never talks about himself. Nearly everything you do know about him comes from observations you’ve made. When you try and get him to talk about himself, it doesn’t work. He immediately changes the subject or flips it back to you. It’s something you need to work at but as time goes on and he trusts you more, he starts to let you in a little more. 

When Tseng is really stressed, he finds comfort in you. After a bad day on the job and he comes home to you in bed already asleep, he gets into bed next to you and buries his head in your hair and grips your hip tightly.  You roll over into his embrace and he holds you almost painfully tight. A few moments of clinging to you is enough to relax him. You come to learn that his tight grip is his way of letting you know he needs you. If you’re doing some task and he comes up next to you and firmly grips your arm, you know immediately he needs you. You stop what you’re doing and lead him somewhere where you can curl up together for a few moments.

At first, Rufus Shinra is a bad boyfriend. Who could blame him though? Had he ever seen a healthy relationship in his whole life? Probably not. Certainly not from his dad. He doesn’t understand the importance of things like anniversaries or dates. Compliments? Outside of the bedroom, forget it. Doesn’t even cross his mind to tell you how good that lunch you packed for him was or how cute your laugh was at the play he took you to see last week. He thinks these things but it doesn't even occur to him to say them aloud. He assumes you know how much he loves you. He thinks it’s enough. 

He doesn’t understand why you’re so upset that he forgot to cancel your sixth month anniversary dinner date in favor of working late. Was it worth you crying over? You know how important his work is. He doesn’t understand the issue. You two end up arguing on the phone before you hang up on him. He doesn’t call you back and sits and fumes for a bit before going back to work. You’ll get over it.

He learns quickly you’re the first thing he can’t throw money at to make it better. The three days you gave him the silent treatment were the worst of his life. He didn’t know what to do. He was desperately blowing up your phone with calls and texts only to be met with silence. After only a single day he was pulling on his jacket to march down to your apartment when Tseng told him you probably want space and he needs to be patient before he makes it even worse than he already has. Rufus Shinra isn’t a patient man. Tseng suggesting he “wait it out” doesn’t do a damn thing to calm him.
