Green may be my favourite colour, but as it goes so nicely with blue, there are a lot of blue items I made as well. The crazy quilt I make to keep myself sane during this pandemic has light blue sahsing and I like the fabric so much I made a matching cushion. Totally forgot to show you all the finished cushion I made for a friends mom. I posted the paper piecing in progess a few weeks ago. Here it is in it's finished glory. Did I mention I fell in love with foundation paper piecing? It's so damn easy and no exact measuring, I lack the tools and the patience. Just sewing, and ironing and cutting until you finished and have a lovely piece. Tada. Finished my cushion. And with this one I can show it off with a filling. It's so cuddly and plump I love it. This one also has a hexi side and a #Catra side, as I was learning to design foundation paper piercing designs for her. And I quilted one side of the cushion cover. Well and washed it to get rid of the blue pen. I love the random length of the seams and the nice structure it gives the whole thing. The backing is just some unbleached cotton I added because the blue is a quilt cotton on the lighter side and needed a bit more body. I finished both hexi sides of the cushions. This one will get some straight, irregular lines where I drawn the lines. I really like this design. I had a bit of a problem to get a proper rainbow, my stash just lacks certain colours like pink or orange, but I really like the result.
