let me make this PERFECTLY clear; ocs are not free from criticism, just like canon characters arenāt free from criticism. you personally are not free from criticism, and neither am i as a person; you asked for an opinion, you didnāt say where and how you wanted it to be saidā¦. we gave you an opinion and then because it wasnāt people agreeing with you and coddling your poor baby sensabilities you had to go down this downward spiral of misconstruing my words.
you have no right to criticize an oc just because they say they are a member of the akatsuki; canon CAN change, and has been retconned several times. you canāt for the love of god tell ocās who write their muses in the akatsuki that itās unrealistic when youāre shoving your dirty FILTHY ideals about brother x brother in a almost pedophillic way WHEN THATāS NOT CANON. THATS NEVER BEEN CANON.
āwe have to keep our canon characters to a canon standardā esu says, while slurping up sasuita like it was crack.
anyways, candlefingers, turn off your monitor and move on.
[[ :3c @icewept youāre an anti too, i guess? Try not to ad-hominem, my shipping tastes have jack all to do with criticism of OCs. The most important part is itās fictional. You lose so muchĀ credibility when you try to call me a pedophile. Itās actually not even worth responding to you because you tried to resort to a serious accusation over fictional shipping, but Iāll be nice.
I can see the point youāre trying to make here, in that by roleplaying canons we tear them out of their storyline and they get to do things that donāt happen in canon, weāre allĀ guilty of that, sure.
When an OC claims to be a part of something that didnāt happen in my characterās timeline, that puts obligation on me, as a canon character. The point weāre all making is we have the right to say no. I pick and choose where my character strays from the strict canon events, not my partner. An OC claiming to be part of Akatsuki-- what started this whole ordeal, directly makes a demand on my timeline and my events, something which I am not obligated to accept. There will be people out there who doĀ accept it, and thatās okay, but I and others never will be, and itās well within our right to outright reject these OCs that make insane, immediate demands to our characters. Itās likeĀ someone from two cities over finding your address and claiming to be your long lost cousin, demanding your time, attention, and so on. ]]
