I would say so. I actually had to airbrush her areolas in case Tumblr had a conniption. (the fountains are obviously a very unsubtle metaphor for Roy’s physical reaction :P)

Anita might need something stronger than cocktails ;=) And I really want to devote a large chunk of time and effort to Naomi and Alex’s storyline, but I cannot see that happening for at least another few months...but I will continue to try and keep them in my readers’ consciousness ;=)

She is dealing so well with her mood swings lately - I guess the last trail of her addiction and PTSD are fading away. 🙂 Looks like her sh*t is put together. Time for an earthquake 🙃 Like bringing Georgie to town 😁

The new house has played a huge part in her healing. She also learnt a lot of anger management techniques at The Oaks, and her training as a cop included useful strategies for reducing stress and dealing with traumatic events. Since the coffee-machine incident she has been implementing many of these coping mechanisms with renewed zeal. They include deep breathing, practicing self-care, and identifying triggers. And perhaps most importantly, forgiving herself for her mistakes. She’s only human, after all!:P

I would kill him.  I would find a knife and kill him.  I hate school and I hate making people slam face down into school but if I have to do it, nobody better make it harder.  Roy is not cute. She handled it with grace.

And here I was, trying to show that Roy was being so nice and generous shouting her and Jared to a lavish meal at Bridgeport’s most exclusive restaurant...my bad! :P

I’m glad Anita threw that coffee machine at Roy. On anyone else it might have been overkill, but it’s exactly the kind of feedback that Roy seems to need. See, he’s already respecting (some) boundaries, he’s not sneaking into the house unannounced anymore!

On another note, is there any reason Anita can’t just stay at home while Joel goes with Jared and Roy? Independently from the story, it feels like Anita 1) could do with a relaxing evening at home and 2) wasn’t that where she was locked in the bathroom and brutalized by Jim? And on another note, I feel like they’re also going to run into the De Primas or something while they’re there and shit will go DOWN.

Well firstly, Joël just left home to start his shift at the Grind, which means he won’t be finishing till at least 3 am. 

Secondly, the house that Joël and Anita and Jared and now Saffron live in was purchased by Anita after she reconciled with Joël. That’s why some of the rooms are still have unpacked boxes and cans of paint sitting around; there’s still some unpacking and painting left to do. I cannot imagine Joël for one second living in a house that once belonged to Jim. (and remember he hated him long before he found out he’d brutalized and drugged Anita).

I stupidly thought you were referring to when Anita shot Jim in the bathroom of the other house. Duh. Yes, that's right, except Jim took her to the top floor of the building where it was deserted, not the same floor as the restaurant. I don't think she would be triggered by the Prosper Room itself tbh, but tyvm for remembering and reminding me💖

Thirdly, I wasn’t intending to shoot a single scene at the Prosper Room, but your mention of the de Primas has sparked all sorts of ideas!

Ian sounded like he could be horrible, listening to what Roy (and to some extent Georgie) has had to say about him. But he actually sounds super-reasonable here? He’s really good at managing Bunty too, as good as any human being can be with a narcissist. I dunno, he might definitely not be the warmest dad in the world, but he’s still pretty cool by me.

Ian is not a bad guy. He has his faults, but he is also loyal and stoic and pragmatic.(I’m pretty sure he’s a Capricorn) And as far as he is able to he does love Bunty (an incredible feat in its own right) although he is at a loss when it comes to trying to meet her emotional needs. They are like chalk and cheese, but that is probably part of the reason they have been able to stay married for thirty-three years. And as he said here he does need her, even if he isn’t moved to articulate his feelings very often. I think communication has definitely improved between them since she was at The Oaks, though. He’s secretly very relieved that she completed the program.
