Also, I was thinking the same thing as @simcatcher. He must have had some awful experiences. That poor child. *cries*
Aww, at least he now lives with the most loving family in Scotland at their time. William may have some serious commitment issues, but at least he made sure his son went to a better home.

Oh no! I hope they find him! D:
He’ll have to be found eventually, he’s much needed for the story! ;)

Poor boy, probably hiding in anticipation of a thorough pounding :(
*nods* :/
“Graham: Run away!? With our family silver, I suppose? Andrew: No,...”
Poor boy must've been traumatized to react like this... or assume they'd reject him and go first in order to avoid the deception? Either way, it's heart wrenching
Probably a mixture of both :/

Yes, because a child under ten is going to run away from home with the entire silver service in his little handkerchief on a stick bindle. Graham, really. Think for a minute.
Partly, Graham still believes the whole thing is an enormous scam against William or himself. Criminals using children claiming to be some long lost relative were not unheard of. On the other hand, this is actually the moment he does start thinking.

Oh no, broken dishes at the bottom of the stairs! Hopefully nobody's gotten too badly hurt.
Aw, don’t worry, they all know how to avoid Jean’s washing bowls in the dark with their eyes closed. Except for Dan of course...

I really like these kilts on these guys... they look so handsome, lol!
Enjoy them while we’re still in the 1730s! 😉 I’m very much not looking forward to tartan-kilts being outlawed in 1746...
I love that sixth screen.
That was one of the first pictures I took for the series. Also one of the first posed story-scenes I made. At the time I was practicing for “Of Chevalry”. Nostalgia...
Love this scenery...and a heartbroken historian sounds like a new adventure in the making :).
My best friend in real life once said, she’s looking forward to the book I’ll write one day, inspired by my time as a heartbroken historian in Wasserburg in winter 2017/18. So am I! :) But also very glad that on the whole things look a lot brighter for me right now!
