That’s not what would happen! I mean, it doesn’t matter much, since all humans would die, but the earth wouldn’t get exploded from getting hit with the moon, it would be the same as if you hit the moon with the earth.
YEAH BUT WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THEY SURRENDER?! THAT’S THE QUESTION THAT YOU STILL HAVEN’T ANSWERED, AND I THINK IT’S PRETTY IMPORTANT.
Also, have you tried calling in Jeb? He’s pretty good at dealing with alien invasions.
Last time I think I highlighted some of the art surrounding the Hulk’s transformation, but here I think the writing is really carrying it. Even just the small touch of his throat growing tight, while he grabs at it with both hands as the transformation takes hold makes us imagine what it feels like for Bruce Banner, and tells us that it’s unpleasant.
Here we also see the Hulk remembering something that happened only to Bruce Banner. So even though now he can remember things that happened himself, he can also remember...
Okay, so here’s the thing. We’ve never seen the Hulk remember something that happened to him. We’ve only seen him say and do things (like decide to kill all of humanity) that don’t seem to make sense unless he can remember stuff from previous times. But there is another way this could happen.
In the flashback at the start of this issue, Bruce Banner says “It will be the Hulk against all mankind!” What if the Hulk’s motivations are not only being determined by his memories of being Bruce Banner, but also his memories of Banner’s speculation as to how the Hulk will act. He remembers thinking that the Hulk wants to destroy humanity, and so he attempts to do so. He remembers thinking that Rick Jones is the only one he can fully trust, and so he does that too. That means that Banner’s fear of the Hulk is actually making the Hulk more dangerous!
