We’re at the very beginning of planning a kitchen renovation. It’s the same kitchen we’ve had here since we moved in back in 2009, with only very minor changes. It’s not only dated but the surfaces on all the cupboards and drawers are peeling off, our stove is decommissioned (since it has a slight gas leak), and the floor plan has never been great.
Tomorrow evening we have a kitchen designer coming out to take measurements and get ideas about what we like etc (this will be our third quote). At the showroom, they mentioned that the appointment could take 2-3 hours. Three hours?!! If this guy is still here at 9pm on a Thursday evening, I’m saying good night and going upstairs to bed.
We’ve been very clear that we don’t want to pick colours or materials yet, even though we know that will influence the quote. We want to figure out the layout changes (& roughly how much that will cost) before picking out the finishes.

New bathroom looking kinda fancyy 💖
Most of the kitchen is now painted (I'm ignoring the one wall, which will require me to take down a bunch of shelves in order to paint) and tbh I'm so in love with it.
