#personal update

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a quick personal health update. I had a skin biopsy taken from my nose last week and received the results that it's positive for Basal-cell carcinoma. I'm not really a person who spends a ton of time in the sun in general or without UV protection, so this was very unexpected and scary news for me.

I have a really great support system who was there for me the day I received the news, and I have a surgery scheduled next week (Mohs procedure) to remove any lingering cancer cells. BCC is slow-growing and very treatable, and the procedure is minimally invasive and done with local anesthesia, so I should be fine. But it's a little scary and has added some stress to my life, so there may be a few more no-updated days ahead than usual. I appreciate your patience.

Anyway, to the whole three people who may read this whole thing, would any of y’all be interested in super cheap commissions (like 5 ballers a pop) where I draw your characters in the same style I do spooky N in? Would any of y’all want that lol

Soooooooo I'm getting surgery! Yaaaayyyyy. TLDR I tore the absolute shit outta my ACL playing rugby and I've made the decision to just go ahead and get surgery. I've actually done this song and dance before with my left leg back in my teens when I lived and breathed basketball... fun fact actually: that injury is what ultimately led me into art as a career!

But anyway, yeh I've done this shit once before but in much poorer circumstance and environment, but now that I'm much older and have some sense I'm pretty confident this healing process will go much smoother. Even still, I'm admittingly a lil' antsy about the potential road blocks I might face throughout it. It'll take at least a year for majority recovery, 2 for guaranteed sports-ready recovery, but I'm hoping and determined to rehab the dog doodoo outta my leg. I wanna get back into playing sports: if not rugby, maybe basketball again. Or boxing! Rock climbing perhaps. :)

But ye! Just wanted to let ya'll know what's goin' down with me right now. When surgery occurs I'll likely disappear for a short while but will be back! In the meantime, if you haven't already but would like to see what I'm up to in real-time, I often pop into my Discord community to hang with the homies. It's of course free. uwu

We've sort of solved the issue and at least turned it into a different issue that's less complicated. We got enough donations to make a down payment on a different car. [THANK YOU. I don't want to name names so you don't get spammed with donation emails. But if anyone wants to draw or write for them; I can ask them/arrange contact privately.] The problem is that they refused to finance a cheaper vehicle. So they'd only let us do payments if we got something newer then what we wanted. So we get another 7 years of making car payments and the amount is more then we were paying before. ;_; This is rough because we're still only breaking even because of some regular donors. Our mortgage takes almost exactly ALL my pay every month otherwise. So if anyone wants to do reoccurring on Ko-fi, even if it's for small amounts; every little bit helps. But this fandom is amazing and I'm so happy to write for you and hear from all of you.

Hopefully now that we have transportation to get to work again I can focus on my writing instead of worrying myself sick. What will likely happen with the car that was [wrongfully!!] repossessed is that that bank will sell it to try and recoup the last of what we owed on it. Then they'll try to bill us for whatever is left-over on the balance. We may still get a lawyer to look at this once we get paid again and things calm down as well. We're both exhausted from this and the shit with her license being suspended and the gas pump that ate my debit card on Friday. It's likely too late to stop the auction and it's clear they won't give us our car back. They have refused Cure; which is paying off the late payments [which we sent but were never received???] And no one would take the loan off their hands because the mileage on the car was far too high. [About 220 thousand]. We both took out small loans as well because we didn't have enough cash on hand. So that's two more bills. -_- So if anyone wants to help; that's amazing. If you can't; it's okay. I'll never withhold anything either way. I love you guys. Thank you. <3
