Is there any art of Clovis being fat/plus sized? I feel like a lot of people draw him skinny :( heâs described as being thick/bulky with low muscle mass in the books
I can be the change i wanna see in the world but I wanna check on that first

Summary: 1000 ways to tell the Stoll brothers apart and I can name you one. Clovis - Dreams
Content Warning: bullyingÂ
   Clovis â Dreams
Mid The battle of the labyrinth
âYou think this is going to last? That heâll be here forever?â
Running. Heâs running.Â
âWar is a terrible thing.â
He canât breathe. His sides ache.Â
âIt just takes and takes and takes.â
Where is he running? Thereâs nothing here. Itâs all ruins.
âIt doesnât discriminate. It doesnât judge.â
Thereâs nobody here. Where is he? Heâs always here with him.Â
âIt just takes.â
Itâs raining. Pouring. Torrenting.Â
âIt takes and takes and takes till it can take no more.â
And around the corner, thereâs his brother. Heâs standing (alive) and talking (alive) and smiling (alive) but thereâs a girl with him. Sheâs holding a knife.Â
Sheâs holding a knife and itâs pointing at him.Â
Stop laughing.Â
Donât you see the knife? Donât you see sheâs about to hurt you?Â
Hello? Hey?
hey?
hey.Â
HEY.Â
Hey, pay attention, Tâ
âWho knows it might just take him too.â
â
Clovisâs eyes fly open and he goes automatically for his handy dandy trash can.Â
But fortunately, this is not one of the dreams that upsets his tummy and Clovis rolls back over to his back.Â
He stares at the dark canvas of the upper bunk bed. He glance at the digital clock on the night table. 2:45 am.Â
A nightmare.Â
He had a nightmare.Â
Gods, he hates nightmares.Â
He sighs.Â
Lately, thatâs all they been getting. It shouldnât be a surprise. If anything, it should be getting worse and worse as the war goes on.Â
He closes his eyes and roll onto his side and tries not to listen to the squeaking of a bed, the creaking of a ladder, the shuffling of clothes, and a voiceâ wobbly and weakâ in the stark silence.Â
âTravis? Are you awake?â
âMmphhmmmmpppp.â
âI had another dream.â
âYa wha? Whas it abouâ? Do ya need soâ aloâ time?â
âItâs just the usual dream. Can I sleep with you tonight?â
A bed groans. The ladder creaks some more and bed sheets rustle.Â
Then silence.
And Clovis stops trying to not listen.
--Â
âAgain and again⌠how long is this going to go on before you realized joining me is the best choice?â
He have this thing where he drifts into peopleâs dreams when heâs sleeping. Not on purpose though. No, heâs a big advocate of personal privacy and would never even dare dream of spying if given a choice. It just⌠he just sort of tumble into the dreamscape of his fellow campers when heâs asleep and when theyâre asleep. An unwilling participant to an unknowing host.Â
Most of it is incomprehensible. Just a mumble jumble of visions, words, and thoughts.Â
But some of them,
Their crystal clarity,
The lucidity,
It's like heâs awake.Â
Most times itâs just silly dreams. Someone forgot their pants. Someone had an exam. Someone forgot to flush the toilet after a deuce. Sometimes, though, itâs like last night. Visceral. Allusory. Something more than trivial matters.Â
He tries not to think about whoâs the dreamer.Â
He tries not to think what they mean.Â
He tries not to listen.
--
âThey taunt your siblings. They hurt them without repercussion. Are you not angry? Is it not unfair? Or perhaps you donât care for them? You donât love them? Is that it?â
--
âYour brother did this you ugly freak. Heâs the reason weâre all going to die.âÂ
Luke isn't my brother. Iâm not even a son of Hermes. Stop bothering me. Clovis wants to say but heâŚÂ isnât really a fighter.
âArenât you going to say something? Huh?â
Heâs more of a pacifist.
âOi, uglyface, are you listening?â
A pacifist that really wishes someone would come save him from these three bullies.
âIâm going to knock some â shit, Connorâs coming!â
âAre you sure thatâs not Travis?â
âWho the fuck cares!? Iâm not going to risk it! Connorâs scary, man. Iâm outta here.â
Clovis puts down the book he clutches and exhale, unable to stop the shake. He raises his head to greet his savior.Â
âThanks, Connor.â
âIâm Travis,â Travis says, eyes not at him but at the backs of the three departing campers. His eyes narrow. âWere they bothering you?â
âNo,â he lies behind a closed lip smile, mind going back to the demeaning nightmares.Â
But Travis goes to pat him on the shoulder.Â
âItâs okay. Youâre not bothering us. If anyone picks on you, tell us and weâll deal with, yeah?â
And Clovis nods but in his mind, we resolves to tell no one.Â
They already have enough problems.Â
--
A plain field. Heâs walking for what seems like ever. No ones here. No one but him. Then he turns around and thereâs Travis. Travis with a sword through his chest.Â
He seen this a thousand times. He experienced this a thousand times. Itâs a dream. He knows itâs a dream.Â
Still the terror is there and it clogs his throat. He canât breathe. He canât think. He canât move. His whole world is crumbling
And heâs falling.Â
--
âKeep the dagger up. Elbows out. Be aware of your surroundings. Donât get too focused on one thing, okay Callie?â
âOkay, Connor!â
In another world, Clovis would say how wrong it is for a child to teach another child how to hold a dagger. Itâs wrong to teach a child how to protect herself from nonhuman and human attackers. Itâs wrong for a child to be fighting at all. Callieâs six. She should be holding crayons or a book, learning how to read not how to butcher a monster.Â
But this is their world.Â
And their world is breaking apart.Â
The ground tremble. People are screaming. A horn is sounding. Someone, everyone, is running.Â
He hears Clarisse yells, âLock shields!â
He hears roaring, inhuman roaring and without his permission his knees shook.
Connor stands with steely eyes, sees the trembling in his hands, and he hates the worry he sees in his eyes. He knows Clovis isnât a fighter. He knows Clovis is a wimp. He knows Clovis is going to pee his pants the first minute he sees a monster.Â
âKronos is attacking. Clovis, take Callie somewhere safe and stay with her.â
And before he could say anything Connor is running to where the monsters are.
--Â
He walks through a mountain of corpses. Lee. Michael. Silena. Beckendorf. Castor. Pollux. Clarisse. Katie. Miranda. Percy. Chiron. Annabeth.Â
And at the very top, his brother.Â
âThis is whatâs going to happen in the end. Iâll make sure youâll survive. Youâll walk wthrough your loved ones graves. Youâll be the sole survivor and youâll suffer for eternity. For eternity, youâll be left with your failures. You failed to save them. You failed to choose the right side. You failed.â
âTell me, Connor. Are you willing to bet everything on your brotherâs faith to the gods?â
--
The first battle (of many).Â
The first casualties (of many).
Clovis presses his fist into his eyes and sobs. Gods, why did this have to happen? Everywhere around him, all he hears are weeping and he doesnât want to sleep tonight. He doesnât want to sleep ever.
Clovis watches the burial shrouds burn of their friends, their brothers and sisters, a counselor, until itâs their cabin turn to burn their losses.Â
And he watches Travis and Connor takes the torch together and light up three of their shrouds.Â
Martin. Ava. Celise.Â
Itâs unfair. Itâs not right. Theyâre only kids. Weâre only kids. Itâs not fair. Itâs not fair.Â
Itâs not fair. Â
--
Somethingâs different. This isnât right.Â
He stares at the burial shrouds before him and thereâs a hand squeezing his heart, squeezing his throat.Â
âThat was easy, wasnât it? A single swing and goodbye, Lee. A little stab and night, night Castor. And your poor cabinmates. One eaten oh so slowââÂ
He screams, curling into himself. âShut up! Shut up, shut up, shut up! ALALALALALA I canât hear you! I canât hear you.â
But thatâs wrong. He can hear him loud and clear.Â
âYou canât protect him forever. One day you wonât be fast enough. You wonât be quick enough. You wonât make it in time. Heâll die. And itâll be on your hands. But I can guarantee his safety. I can guarantee his life. Not even your father can do that.âÂ
âTravis, your father let your brothers and sisters die. If he truly cared for you like you hipe for, then Tell me. Why are they dead.â
When Clovis is shove back to reality, he reaches for his trash can to throw up everything.Â
--
Clovis plays with the helium-filled balloon in his hands. Bouncy. Light. Elusive.
A single push.Â
And it goes wherever he wants.
The only thing keeping the balloon grounded is a string and a weight.Â
So easy to manipulate.
Clovis steels himself and glances at his counselor. His dried-eyed counselorÂ
âYou okay, Travis?âÂ
Which is stupid. Of course heâs not okay. None of them are okay.Â
But Travis and Connor never mocks them for something like that. He looks up from his work to face him. âHm? Oh, yeah. Iâm perfectly fine. A-okay.â
And Travis even forces a smile to complete the image.Â
âYou seem distracted. Are you worried Chris wonât be good?â
Travis stiffens, his hands stilling.Â
âI wonât know until he gets here. But I have total faith in my brother.â And Travis nudges him in the shoulder lightly. âYou should too, Clovis!â
âAre you worried youâll lose Connor?â
Travis bites his lips but still answer nonetheless.
âConnor is incredibly capable. I think heâs more worried about me. But, yeah, I guess I worry about that sometime.â
Clovis looks down at the string wrap around his finger. He isnât good at this. Heâs never good at this. And heâll be exposing his secret if he says something. But ⌠he got to try ⌠he needs to. Travis is⌠Travis canâtâŚÂ
âYou canât join Kronos, Travis,â he blurts.Â
And Travisâs eyes widen.Â
âHow did youâ
But itâs cut short when the door slams open and Chris, with his head bowed, yells
idk if anyone checks Read Riordan but I FOUND CLOVIS CONTENT there so here we go
CLOVIS
âSleeping bag, eye mask, extra pillows, white noise machine . . . Yup, I think Iâm all ready for the #tartaruschallenge. Maybe Iâll see my dad down there. Now I just need to find someone to go with me *yawn*. . . After a quick nap.â
also unrelated to Clovis but I found a really disgusting quote in the Cupid article that made me very uncomfortable
THE POWER OF LOVE
Cupidâs power is not to be underestimated. Just think of the dirt he got out of Nico di Angelo in The House of Hades. Nicoâs confession that he has a crush on Percy is probably one of the most squee-inducing moments of the Heroes of Olympus series (even if Nico hated every second of it).
Calling Nico being gay 'dirt' like it's gossip, calling the entire scene 'squee-inducing' when it's literally the most depressing scene in the book? And acting like Nico was being silly and shy for hating BEING VIOLENTLY OUTED LIKE THAT???? also calling it the power of love is insane. Cupid is fully JUST a villain, and can't be anything more than that in the Riordanverse. I hated the Spotlight On Cupid article.

Lou Ellen did his hair w magic before they left for the quest (this style is less likely to get snagged on stuff or pulled on, which he didn't consider before she mentioned it)
LE's a big fan of silver so she put a couple of rings in.
His eyebrows are also shaped like someone sleeping in a bed, which I felt was pretty cool lol
oh @clovis-enthusiast ya boi
EDIT I COMPLETELY FORGOT THAT SOME OF HIS HAIR IS SUPPOSED TO BE BLOND RAAA
