One throughline that stuck with me in watching I Love Boosters and Hoppers (funnily enough) this year was that both films ended with a message of individualist activism not being the solution to bring down corrupt systems, but rather community engagement and collective action being more effective.
Both Corvette and Mabel were only able to achieve their goals when they stopped treating those around them as obstacles whose wants/feelings/etc were trivial, and more as peers who wanted to help.
