I used to be such a passionate blindfaith lover when I first listened to malevolent and then I realized arthur is shit for oscar. but oscar and charlie ough. they just. they. are perfect for eachotjer. they don’t need anything from each other and that’s what makes them so perfect. oscar experiencing love free of requisition, charlie experiencing love free of imminence. shared experience of “arthur lester indirectly ruined my life in a way”, plenty of opportunity to talk and learn a lot about both arthur and each other. and again there’s no requisition in their dynamic, there are no stakes. I think there’s a lot of potential for them to be a source of peace for each other. also the way their personalities would clash is just so fun to think about don’t tell me they aren’t perfect romcom material and. even better. qpr material

Summary:

Oscar has wasted far too much time thinking about Arthur, trying to pinpoint exactly how everything all went wrong and why he was left behind. No matter how hard he tries he can't seem to get him off of his mind. He's hopeless, until Noel appears in a bar stool beside him, and helps him clear his mind.
