What if Abel was an Immortal?
Ok, this thought is wiggling in my mind. I haven't completely thought out the ramifications of this yet, but it seems like exactly the terrible, manipulative kind of thing that Lucifer would absolutely do.
So, we know Lucifer is making an effort to corrupt Abel, Cain finds out and makes a deal -- gives his soul to Lucifer and in exchange, Lucifer will not collect Abel's soul...if Cain murders him.
So Cain does. Ends up taking on the Mark of Cain, being corrupted by the Darkness, and ultimately becomes a demon who is Big Scary even to other demons.
But, like, what if that was just Abel's First Death? What if, after a guilt-stricken Cain flees from the scene of the crime....Abel just...got up? His soul doesn't go to Heaven, as Lucifer implied that it would, he just keeps it.
But, like, there's no way Lucifer wouldn't have known that Abel wasn't a normal person, and his soul wasn't going to pop into an afterlife like a normal person's. Like he had to have known. Which means the whole "trying to corrupt him" thing was just a ploy to get at Cain. (Which makes sense, because otherwise why is he going to allow Cain to figure out what he's doing in the first place?)

Sam Winchester was doing his "serious face" -- thin, drawn lips, furrowed brow, accusing stare. "Whatever happens, you do not get out of this car, Rowena." One day he'd realize just how ineffectual this sort of tactic was. Today was not that day.
She smirked. "Ah, Samuel, of course not."
Sam seemed to believe her -- for a moment -- before he narrowed his eyes suspiciously. He wasn't an idiot, she knew that he expected her to put up more of a fight.
Might as well drop the other shoe on him early then. "Although. This does remind me of when I first began my magical career in earnest."

Ok, some questions I'm mulling over....
What would happen if an immortal were bit by a werewolf?
What would happen in a vampire tried to sire an immortal?
Same two questions, but what if this is before the immortal's first death so they're still essentially human?
What if the presence of the Allspark on Earth is what gave rise to the Immortals?
I just want a crossover with Highlander where Duncan MacLeod gets very confused when his car, that Thunderbird he’s had for years, pings on his radar one day... Turns out their Quickenings are just another form of Spark energy as manifested in organics, and they can sense the bots just as well as the bots can sense them. Makes for very confused Immortals and Autobots (once they start showing up). In my headcanon for this AU, the bot that turns out to be Duncan’s car is Drift, the former Decepticon turned Autobot Samurai. Once the shock wears off they find that they are more than compatible. This is early-to-mid-nineties, until Optimus and his crew arrive in 2007, the only other cybertronian they ever ran into was Barricade looking for a particular scout, otherwise, they had their hands full with new teenage Immortals, Watchers, and Hunters... oh my! How different would Duncan approach things once he found out that the Game is a lie, that the code they live by is a misunderstanding of an innate knowledge they have that in the end everyone is One in the Matrix...

For example,
Nick Fury is Immortal. He actually did die and remained dead long enough for everyone to believe it. That's why no one has any doubts. Howard knew, that's why he put Nick in charge. That's also why he kept looking for Steve: he already knew immortality exists, believing the serum made Steve immortal wasn't that big a stretch.
Coulson's "father's death" that was mentioned more than once in the show was actually Phill's adoptive father dying and coming back to life right in front of Phill. Phill was a teenager and probably didn't take it too well.
Skye, being the Mary Sue that she is, could probably be Methos' daughter. Well, I though she was his daughter, but now that we know about "the monsters that killed an entire village", I think it was Kronos, right before the whole Horseman/Revelation deal. Her mother was Immortal, too. I sort of hoped it was Rebecca (that connects well with the fact that Rebecca owned Methuselah's stone for quite a while: the artefact gave her the ability to have children), but now we have to accept that it's probably someone less sweet with no apparent explanation. That's what makes Skye so valuable: of course SHIELD/HYDRA know about the Immortals and of course they are aware that Immortals don't usually have children. If immortals can have children - that could be the key to making ordinary people into Immortals, and who wouldn't want that?
Ward is a pre-Immortal, and John is looking forward to becoming his teacher. He considers killing Grant into immortality himself, but right now doesn't have the time for explanations.
All creators of all super-soldier serums were, among other things, attempting to achieve Immortality. They probably experimented on some Immortals, that's probably what made Steve and Bucky technically immortal. I'm not sure that made them actually Immortal. There's also a chance that Bucky's immortality had nothing to do with the serum, he just was a pre before the fall.
