Reginald stirred, tired eyes slowly opening. The first thing the Toppat Clan Chief saw was the rays of sunlight, peaking in through the blinds. Casting white light all across his and his lovers shared room. He yawned, body stretching out on its own and looked around blearily. He could feel one of his lovers nuzzled next to him and he started to wonder what they wore to bed as they felt rather fluffy.
Sitting up, Reginald shifted his unkempt hair, moving his nimble fingers through the brown locks, past his horns and- past his horns?! Reginald gasped and scrambled out of bed, charging to his mirror. "No no no no!.." Reginald quietly panicked as he stared at his dragon features. "Why are they out?!.." He freaked, trying and failing to hide them. Then he felt something swish behind him and freaked out more when he saw his dragon tail was visible as well.
You see, Reginald had yet to tell his lovers, right and Henry, and maybe the entire airship, about...erm.. the fact that he's half dragon? So this situation was.. terrifying, especially since Henry or right was still in bed, feet from him! Reginald rushed to his closet and fumbled for his dressing gown and tophats, which he found and quickly shoved on, just in time for the door to their bedroom to open. Reginald turned to face the door and started to speak. "Good morning! Sorry we slept in for.. so... Long...?"
Reginalds apology slowed before halting completely at the sight before him, right, who was still half asleep and looking quite irritated, was standing in the door. That wouldn't be so astonishing if it weren't for the large wolf ears and tail he was showing off. Right blinked at Reginald.
"What?.." He said, sleep and confusion thick in his voice. Reginald began to speak but struggled. "I- R-Right?" The chief stuttered, pointing at the tail swishing behind him. Right blinked and looked to what Reginald was pointing at, then cursed in surprise.
"Shit!-" right looked at Reginald, trying to hide the new features. "R-Reg- don't freak out!" Then a sleepy groan filled the room and the blanket on the bed began to move and shuffle. After a couple of seconds, a head covered in white hair popped out, looking confused. Reginald and right made another bewildered noise at the fact that Henry too had wolf features!
Turns out all the lovers were hiding something...
Right and a still slightly sleepy Henry sat at the end of their bed as Reginald paced around, trying to find a way to start this odd discussion.
Henry decided to speak up first instead "I'm sorry I never told you two about my... condition. Since I was a young kid, I was always told that being a werewolf was a curse and I should hide it from others and try to act normal or I would be hunted down. And I know you two wouldn't hurt me but because all I ever knew was to hide my werewolf side and force to act normal, I just... it was just something I kept doing."
Reginald felt his heart shatter at Henry's reason he hid his werewolf side. Reginald decided to tell his secret next, with Henry's head laid on Right's legs as Reginald removed his hat and revealed his dragon horns.
"So I am a half dragon half human. My mother, who was a dragon fell in love with a human and eventually she had several eggs, with me being in one of them. All my father told me was that the Government attacked and killed my mother and destroyed all but one egg."
"I didn't want to bring any danger to my father or the clan, so I hid my physical features, though I still picked up on dragon hoarding. Although I am quite curious on why I can't hide my horns or tail at the current moment."
Right looked at his tail and saw that he couldn't retract his tail or ears either, with Henry sitting up and grabbing one of his overly fuzzy ears in confusion as well.
Right eventually decided that it was time for him to fess up about being a werewolf.
"Welp, I don't really have a tragic backstory. I am a werewolf, dad's a werewolf and half the Wall are werewolves. It is a giant pack of werewolves and humans living together. Dad let me see the world and figure things out about myself as long as I didn't misuse my werewolf ability."
Reginald plopped on the bed with Right as Henry looked outside and tilted his head sideways. "Isn't tonight going to be a blue moon?"
It took a minute for everyone to process that fact before Reginald spoke up "I forgot the blue moon was today. Which explains why we are all partially transformed."
Reginald groaned as Henry and Right laid on Reginald, with Right speaking up "I'll call Sven and let him know we are sick and taking today off. It will be easier to wait out the blue moon here anyways."
Henry hummed in agreement as Reginald ran his hands through Henry's super fluffy hair. Secrets were revealed today but those secrets would bring the three men closer then before.
