for day one of yeehawgust! includes scenes from my oc story, Hidden River. not sure how i’ll separate these prompts between art/writing, but i’m trying to do something for each day lol. this takes place after the first night alba and silas are on the run together. oasis nymphs are a species i made up 👍 @gonefiishiing

FIRST!!! new / redesigned characters:

this is azul! i’ve posted about her once (maybe) but i’ve redesigned her since then. she’s a coral nymph, which are sort of like oasis nymphs but. water. (i’m bad at doing this shorthand. <- wants you to send another ask…)

she is naranja’s partner (who i’ve also only posted about once) and leaves to be an adventurer along with them. she is very happy to no longer be forced to sing sad songs all day!

she also does not show up in the main hidden river universe. other characters that don’t show up are suzanne, naranja, mr. and mrs. dixon (leona’s parents), and jekyll. the only ones with any substance in this list are suzanne (who is dating newt roach) and naranja.

NEXT!

this is leona’s (tentative) redesign! she was originally a friend’s oc, so i got permission to tweak her personality, design, etc. her father was one of the cult leaders, which is why she has as much power as she does. she’s been sylvan’s bodyguard/servant since he was taken as the cult’s sacrifice, and was sent out to get silas by her father. while she’s gone, the cult leaders begin to convince sylvan that his friend actually is alive, and didn’t die seven years ago. leona trails silas until he reaches the forest, where she catches and kidnaps him before taking him back to the cult.

Absolute fucking perfection. Seriously, when I first heard about these guys I had no idea what to expect because I really don’t know much about PA breweries especially in the bumblefuck regions but these guys blew me away. I got the chance to taste 6 of their incredible brews while visiting their haunted house of a brewery and honestly, every beer I tasted was better than the last and I couldn’t have been happier that I got to take this one home with me to review. Also, I hope you didn’t take the whole “haunted house” thing the wrong way because their brewery is fucking rad and every room feels like you’re entering a completely different facility so I’d highly suggest a trip out to Douglassville, PA just to visit these guys. Seriously, there is nothing else to do in Douglassville but if it makes you feel better, I’ll meet ya there! Anyways, this beer is bonkers good starting with some peach and tropical fruit flavor with a light mouthfeel and soft sweetness before a mild acidity mixes in sticking true to the style with some smooth citrus and even more peach goodness before ending with some pine and resin and tropical deliciousness that literally inhibits you from putting your glass down for more than a second. This beer seriously kicks ass and is as close to perfect as it gets and honestly rivals just about every other hazy beer I’ve ever tasted which may sound like a pretty bold statement because it fucking is. I can almost guarantee you that Hidden River will become a household name in no time and seeing that they’ve only been around for 2 years, I expect huge things to come from these guys real soon and I can’t wait to be there for it. Newbies may want to hold off on this for now but you experienced drinkers of the world: Travel, trade, or do whatever you have to to taste this ASAP!

ok so in the hidden river universe there’s a big river that splits the continent they live on in half

basically silas gets thrown into this river when he’s like ten, and ends up really far away from where he started. he also has amnesia and his memories are hidden!!! i am so clever right
