more interesting developments.
I had a very brief visitation from Lord Hermes this morning. He was basically stopping by to say “ayo write this thing” (an essay for my local police abolition group, I haven’t written for them in a little while)
which was all good and fine and normal. I met him in a dream, we were in some cloudy sky land or something. Which is typical, i don’t really know what this place is, maybe a place between places, but I visit him there most often, usually very briefly.
Anyways, the interesting thing was that Hermes, upon seeing me, raised his eyebrows a bit in surprise. He made a face like “oh wow,”
and when he approached me it was very obvious that he was looking at my neck. The way you look at a friend’s bruise, the type that’s like oh, that’s gnarly. You really fucked yourself up.
“Man, he really tore into you, huh?”
and immediately know he’s talking about Lucifer. He’s talking about the scars he left on my neck, my chest, my stomach, when he was feeding on me. They don’t go away like any other injury retained in the astral. For whatever reason they’re healing slowly like physical scars. And Hermes is giving me a look that almost reads like slight concern. Like “well, that’s weird.”
and I’m like what? I kinda pull away from him.
and Hermes is sort of like. “huh. okay. I guess we all have our things we like to do.”
And I’m surprised that this is something that’s even notable or interesting to Hermes. You too are a God, right? Is this so abnormal that even other Gods make note of it? Is it so out of the norm? Really?
“I just figured because you’re his little baby and all, he wouldn’t go so far. But.. hm.”
and he kind of just shrugs it off like it’s none of his business. We start taking about the essay.
but before he leaves, he kind of looks at me again.
“You know, if things ever get… too intense for you, I’m here to help you get out, if you want.”
and that shook me a bit. I told him that I was alright. Does he think I’m in danger? Is this wrong?
and he shakes his head, “No, I’m not worried about you. I’m just saying.”
and he sort of peers over into the distance, and I can feel Lucifer’s presence festering, approaching. It manifests here as a ball of red light. And Hermes and Lucifer sort of seem to stare at each other for a minute.
“Anyways, essay, finish it.” and then Hermes is gone, and the dream ends quite promptly. And I fully wake up too.
