I'm prompted by an incoming video call. Already weird, never received that, and the first name on it is Andrew and since I have a coworker named Andrew who's currently on a work trip and I didn't think too hard about the last name before I answered it. Note: the last names didn't match, but I didn't realize until I was already acknowledging it as a scam.

So I answer this weird prompt for video call, immediately turn off my camera and this guy with an accent I'm not familiar with says he's from the USPS and I have received some kind of prize and asks if I was notified about it. I say no, flagging this as a scam in my mind and he asks if I want to lay claim to my prize and I say no again because, again, this is flagging as not real. He immediately hangs up.

Just at one point he gets a dog (just kinda finds her when he's out walking and lowkey considering suicide (his friends are desperately trying to find him cause he went missing and is also at a mental health stage where he cannot be left alone for long or he will try to cut his other hand off))

She goes without a name for a long time until one day when he's with Ryland and he ends up talking about space history stuff for whatever reason and talks about Laika and talks about how all the scientists knew that she would die long before they ever sent her up

And because they knew that, they weren't supposed to love her, she was a means to an end, not an animal and her own being. But they loved her anyways even though they weren't supposed to
