-Amp can paralyze people temporarily by biting them, the closer to the nervous system and the harder she bites them the more effective (but they can still use magic and their internals still work, it just freezes them in place. So they can yell and things)

-Shanx ends up expanding his territory to the ruins after finding out that their strongest was taken out and they were in general discord on the other side of the door (Amp would sometimes slip through the door to supplement her quota ) it was surprisingly easy, so now he controlled Snowdin and the surrounding Snowlands as-well as the Ruins and Home. Amp stopped going to the ruins after that

-Muffet has the most territory of all the leaders, she’s the one that took over New Home along with various areas we don’t see in-game

-Muffet and Shanx end up with a sort of give and take alliance thanks to Amp helping out the ruins spiders and growing a relationship with them (info and other things for resources) so basically it transferred from a relationship between underlings to the full group

-Above ground, when the leaders form the monster council, in an alternate universe where other AUs have already reached the surface ;

Cron and Muffet once conspired to win some bets each of them had placed. Muffet bet Undyne that SF’s Queen would get violent and promised 15% of the bet to Cron if he riled her up. Black (who is her guard at the moment) remarked that Shanx was the only serious one there, but then he motioned to Undyne, who then had to give him even more g then she gave to muffet. He bet that Amp would be there, while Undyne thought the ‘Pest’ would’ve run off by then. No one but Muffet and the residents of Snowdin are aware that Amp is his kid. {The queen threw a fireball that was blocked, because apparently when you use Anty’s flies as a conduit you can produce a barrier with even the smallest bits of Kindness. (Idk I was daydreaming, imma say it was in part because practice and also Toriel so the two of them really wanna protecc when she’s involved. And since Kindness was Amp’s original trait and current secondary she still can use it kinda- why not) }

-also in this weird conversion AU, Shanx and Cron are chilling with their variants in a pseudo required vacation for a rundown of how things work and to get to know about the other mountains and monsters and vice versa. Red steals Shanx’s phone cause he thinks the guy gets too many business calls and this is supposed to be a vacation damnit! (he is technically in politics so I imagine they’re busy) Throughout the night he gets many texts. Red ends up checking one when the night winds down thinking it was his phone, and comments that ‘oh hey Shanx- didn’t know you had a S/O’ cause he got a text like ‘Hope ya’ll are having fun, everything’s all good back home. Night I love you!’ And he’s just kinda like- Ew no. To which Red presses and it’s like ‘Oh, no that’s my daughter’ and it’s just a solid minute of silence before someone (either Blue or Mag) yell out ‘YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER!?!?’ And so questions- cause they’re all 20-35 ish and are just kinda like what??? Since when??? So he has to explain that no, he doesn’t have a wife/girlfriend/SO she’s adopted and is -infact- old enough to be left at home alone (and that she’s with Grillby and Fuku anyways, theyre all stuck together cause they need to recover)

-(no longer in that crazy above ground) Amp had 3 noteable brushes with death, the first was when her wounds from Toriel got infected (they learned to pick up plenty of burn cream and bandages and have her wash up in the water at the edge of waterfall regularly).

-Then a close call with Undyne where she learned that even paralyzed monsters can use magic and got hurt real bad running away. Luckily she made it to Snowdin so when some opportunistic monsters tried to pick her off Papa Shanx was there and dragged her inside after ordering Cron to get rid of her tracks. (She deliriously called him Papa cause his name is hard and so is talking in general, she also may have said that she doesn’t wanna die and leave them like that- it was a wake up moment cause ‘oh shit I care about the little human’) It was during recovery after this incident that Shanx imposed a new rule, She’s not allowed to die. If she doesn’t break this rule then when they get to the surface she can call him Papa again (IT’S HURT CONFORT FLUFF BABBEYYY) she passes out and doesn’t know if she hallucinated that or not but she does cause found family

-And then the third time was also with Undyne. Before then things had been happening where Fuku was and she wasn’t doing so good, at threat of falling down (a close friend got dusted trying to get more things for them) so Grillby was making Amp take more of his cut of resources to her than normal, basically the whole thing. So he wasn’t doing so good either. Also previously one of the Snowdin locals had dusted and she didn’t take it so well (she feels guilty cause ‘she’s supposed to go before any of them do’ in her mind). So Undyne gets her real bad on her way back to rendevue with Grillby after supplying Fuku, and she ends up getting found and helped by a survivor group of humans. Seeing this leads into the next point

-Amp leaves the Snowdin Group for these survivors, Why? Because she sees this as her opportunity to break the barrier before anyone else she cares about dusts. They’re a fairly large group and she manages to convince them to travel to New Home and break the barrier to leave. She plays up her small and injured state, making them think that unless they do she’ll probably die without seeing the sky again and that they’d likely end up the same. She also tells them she knows they can do it cause she had holed up in the Snowdin library and had read a few things. So basically she manipulated them into breaking it to release the monsters. She sent Anty away to tell the others of her plan (to inform them and also erase any possible connection between her and monsters) she also asked a spider to tell the leaders that they should consider coming together and quelling the riots and all out battle in/outside of the castle before they do- sending this message after she convinces the humans to do it. So when they eventually do it won’t be a rush of lone monsters running loose and ruining whatever chance they have at peace on the surface.

-Despite her reasoning Amp constantly feels bad about her choice and thinks that when they meet back up in the throne room they’ll hate her for leaving. This is because she’s scared of them leaving her behind and the fact that she left them makes her feel worse and extra hypocritical

- in the last post I went into how Amp can’t stand the smell of singed hair; Anty on the other hand doesn’t like fire itself

-also mentioned was the Bro’s fire pit. Since the core is kaput stoves and other such electronics and gas-powered things don’t work (they ran out of gas) so they use campfires

-Shanx is a master as barbecue and other such meaty things while Cron does ‘bread’. Though he also knows how to make desserts! But only the things you can do with a campfire and single dutch oven (eyyy, messy but good. Reminds me of someone ;P)

-The bros don’t wait for their food to cool down and it makes everyone else at the table cringe cause OW, THAT JUST GIT OFF THE STOVE WTF?! The only acceptions are Grillby- who is literally fire, an Amp- who is used to it since she’s been living with them for so long

-similar to the previous point the brothers and grillby were baffled cause they were all eating together for once and she hadn’t touched hers so they all shared a look like ‘wtf? Why isn’t she eating???’ Cause they forgot that people other than them can’t stand scortchinb hot, fresh off the stove foods like they can (Meanwhile she realized that they don’t have skin or are already burning) so she had to remind them. She still ate it when it was too hot though, she could sacrifice taste this one time if it got them to stop staring at her

-as time went on the people of snowdin did eventually find out about Amp and long story short she ended up as basically the town pet, only in that if they couldn’t get resources in time she’s the first to go to keep them alive. Which, rude! But crazily enough, she didn’t mind as long as they didn’t do anything against her that she didn’t already agree to (it was a condition of working with the brothers when she first started)

-in this world souls have main and secondary traits. The main ones are the color that the soul takes while the others lie beneath though the recordings on how were lost which lead to the belief that they took the form of colorful layers much like a gobstopper for those of you familiar with the candy. In reality the main trait is like the skin while the two secondary traits act as a sort of blood-like fluid under the outer layer.

Kindness tastes unbearably sweet

Perseverance adds a slight saltiness and prolongs flavors

Further investigation is required for the other traits though and nobody is stupid enough to do it so for now it’s left as that with no other evidence proving if the flavors are the same for other souls or not

-why does the world know this you may ask? Because Amp saw her soul, just floating there leaking blackish gunk and friCKEN LICKED IT! MULTIPLE TIMES!!! Why??? Because she was curious and then she wanted to get all the flavors. Luckily she was currently very numb so she didn’t get any ill affects or, y’know, get the feeling that a tongue just licked her entire being. You know Haunter? The pokemon? Yeah, I get the feeling it’d be a bit like that

After everything the underground threw at her you’d think it’d be a bit more obvious.

Other than the stories and the scars the most people could say about the quiet little human was that they figured she was just paranoid, protective

Amp is perfectly fine around fire, drools at the scent of cooking meat, relishes the smell of wood smoke like always

But singed hair?

Amp wasn’t the only human in the ruins.

The one that misbehaved before her was still alive, if only barely

Their name was Olive, and she tried her best to heal them, to bandage them up and care for them. They were only a bit older than Cas was at the time, no longer in one piece but

If there was one thing lady Toriel was good with it was burning things shut.

They were doing better, sure they had yet to find the key to Olive’s chains but they were living.

Then the ruins monsters ‘revolted’ as they called it.

Revolt against what? A teenager and an amputee? They had the least food out of everyone, they all knew that.

They just wanted to make food out of them.

Amp Locked the doors and gathered everything usable in the house, ready to break the wall if need be to get the both of them out of there.

But then the fire started.

The ruins monsters set a fire, trying to smoke them out but it grew and grew and

And she ran out of time.

Olive told her to run, that it was no use. The fires were already to them, the chains holding them scorching hot. Amp’s face was stinging where her wounds were still raw and her hair was spiraling at the ends from where the flames jumped at her, the smoke thick but the stench even thicker in her nose

Finally, Cas headed their last request and ran

She ran out of the room and down to the basement, to escape, praying to any god that could hear her in this hell on earth that the building wouldn’t collapse on top of her

She ran and joined Anty at the door before the stench of burning flesh could overpower that of singed and burning hair.

OH HECK I FORGOT THIS WAS HERE!

- Underground Amp calls herself a froggit cause her froggit friend slipped up once and the brothers rolled with it and just started referring to her as froggit, little froggit, froggy, etc. (mainly Cron) it stuck

- On the surface Amp is a little self conscious and one time while she was out grocery shopping with Cron she bit through a paper candy bar wrapper and just kinda shrugged it off until she noticed someone looking at her. Cron also noticed and like the jumbo marshmallow he is he took whatever he currently had in his hand and bit through it, packaging and all. Now the person is looking at him and Amp is laughing. Mission accomplished.

- The prior scene was set in the frozen section. He just bit straight through a TV Dinner. When they get back home Shanx helps put away groceries and finds the dinner with a bite through it “Again?” Cue more laughter. The last time was the corner of a cereal box

- Shanx And Amp have a friendly competition to see who will be the first to speak properly again. Amp can already kinda talk but she doesn’t around other people, so they practice voice warmups and speech together. He also helps her with public speaking/talking to other people. His kid ain’t no pushover and he’s gonna help her vocalize that dangit!

- Since Amp does actually have a family on the surface already they had to figure out how to get her to them without anyone freaking out. So they had small get togethers like family picnics and such. basically now she’s adopted into the skeleton fam and the skeletons are adopted into hers but she spends the majority of her time with the brothers while everyone is still recovering from ebott

- Shanx actually tried to adopt Amp before she remembered that she had family other than them and that he can’t adopt her. “But You’re Ours” “Yeah, but I- she already has a dad. You can’t adopt someone that’s not up for adoption” “But Ours” “Sharing is caring” “Don’t Wanna, Ours” it was touching but also exasperating

- Amp met Undyne underground at the dump while looking for resources and took major advantage of the fact that monster magic has a slight hum like electronics or TV static and basically trained her ears to hear where it’s coming from. She still got attacked (and hit) since she’s still human but she booked it back into the Bros’ territory where Undyne can’t get her without even more fighting, this was only after multiple sightings and missed attempts at her which drew Undyne to look herself. This ended up happening more than once and in other sectors amp was known as a bit of a menace.

- Back on the surface Shanx and Cron drag her along with them to work and ask her to stay in their(Shanx’s) office where Undyne just so happens to poke her head in. Oh_Shit.wav. basically there’s a bit of tension and they butt heads but it’s fine... probably

- Similarly when she saw the ruins monsters up on the surface. Those guys hated her, cause she got away and anything she didn’t take was unusable. The feeling was mutual though The Froggits has extra reason cause they also didn’t appreciate her stealing one of their own but froggit friend was just kinda like “I went with her willingly tf you talking about???” It was a whole debacle and they still don’t like her but they tried to kill her after she was nothing but nice to them so they can go fuck themselves for all she cares. The only ruins monsters she’d care about are kids/ones that weren’t around then. She doesn’t have beef with them so they’re cool in her book.

- fun fact, lots of monsters stayed away from bread/tortillas in the first few years. Dust acts similar to flour so... yeah. similarly monsters from certain areas stayed away from extra foods. Like Snowdin bunnies backed off on cinnamon rolls and the bros didn’t really eat lasagna (which is a shame cause that’s amp’s favorite food, even after. She didn’t get to see the cooking process so it’s kinda like ‘out of sight, out of mind’)

- Cron is the biggest fuckin marshmallow, let me tell you! He’s kinda a snarky asshole when he wants to be but like, a few years on the surface a little kid came up to him cause she was playing hide and seek and just Stood behind him and he was weak. This tiny child that’s barely to his knees is smilin at him and holy shit???? After he just kinda sat on a bench cause he was waiting for Shanx to come back from his jog and a dog came up and he got to pet it and got home like “we’re gettin a dog” “Brother No” “brother yes”

- while Shanx was on his jog he slowed down to let a biking family pass him but he ended up being the same speed jogging and one of the kids started talking to him and he couldn’t actually say too much but he wanted to and that’s when he finally broke and agreed to get braces.

- remember when I went on a tangent in the tags about Shanx filling Amp’s lunchbox with sticky note puzzles to yell at her to do the dishes? Cause I do! Doing simple word puzzles and such was just something simple to focus on cause his work is draining and he likes puzzles, he ends up adding in school subjects cause she refuses to study and his kid isn’t gonna fail on his watch

-The first time Amp got sick the guys freaked out cause it wasn’t that long after ebbot so everyone was still on edge and the monster representatives were still getting set up so Cron and Grillby had to do Shanx’s in-person work for him while he tried to figure out just what the heck was wrong with her cause she was only ever bedridden when it was bad (she’s good at working while sick so nobody notices) Cron would normally have done it himself but his ideas, without someone else to bounce them off of aren’t always the best. Plus it’s a bit harder keeping up with a fast paced debate/discussion so Grillby is there as the back up brain and is keeping track of what’s agreed upon and what’s being tabled for later.

-Once it’s set up Amp works at Grillbys cause the new one is bigger and humans are obsessed with fast service. Plus she’s looking for a job anyways and They already know each other

-In the last Horrorfell post I mentioned how people who had connections get better chances at resources and how Grillby called in Cron’s tab. He was the third highest person in the town from that and due to his position he was the only non-skeleton trusted with knowing about Amp and what she does. When she went out scavenging and hunting often times she went with Grillby when she couldn’t with Cron. He was also the first to figure out about froggit friend when it used a magic attack to defend her from someone who was a bit too dangerous and she was a bit too tired. Of course she’d owe him for not saying anything but that was fine by her, they probably already figured something was up since she called herself a froggit anyways.

So now I’m imagining Amp doing the same- but since her vocal chords got magicked and feral she’s also just purring while she does it.
