-Underground both the brothers took care of Amp and Anty, but once they got top side there was difficulty getting custody over Amp and they discovered that they couldn’t both be her adoptive dad so one of them had to be the uncle. They ‘fought’ over the position with various trials and harmless games like Rock Paper Scissors until finally Shanx came out the Victor and officially became Amp’s legal guardian and ‘Father Prime’ as they put it. This all changed nothing back home but Shanx likes to mess with his brother over it and Anty messes with Amp because they get Two dads while she only gets one. They quote that ‘how come your mom lets you have 2 hotdogs!?’ Meme at each other whenever it gets brought up.

-As far as anyone is aware, Anty only calls the skeleton brothers ‘Captain’ and ‘Lieutenant’. But in private they call them ‘Dad’

-Anty doesn’t use 2 different ways of saying dad, they just call both ‘Dad’. They think it’s funny when both answer. Because of this Shanx has gotten really good at figuring out if Anty is asking for him specifically and stays quiet when he’s sure they’re asking for Cron. Cron however just always responds, even if it’s obvious that Anty’s intent was focused on Shanx. It’s just second nature at this point

-some of the family’s friends think there is drama going on between Shanx, Recluse, and Amp’s Bio Mom because he hangs out with them a lot for Council Work and Co-parenting respectfully. Shanx just kinda *Squints in Aromantic* ???

-During council meetings or events no one really talks about home things, especially televised ones, but Shanx is really good at comforting kids and calming them down so a lot of people just kinda assume he’s got kids, which he does but Amp was already 15 when they met so his talent with kids actually came from being around the Snowdin kids. He may have been a stoic captain but he looked out for kids

-because of the point above the people of Snowdin were more open to the idea of being part of Shanx’s faction when things started going downhill. Kids are pretty good judges of character and parents had heard about how he’d helped their kids- he was a bit of an ass (he’ll openly admit) but he did his job and did it well, keeping Snowdin pretty damn peaceful.

-Recluse is actually pretty close with Amp because the human would stop by her parlor when she was in the area to tell the spider stories and describe different things on the surface for her to imagine. In return Recluse would help her refine her speech to better negotiate to get what she wants without relying on Anty to speak for her.

-After Council meetings Shanx stays behind and meets up with Recluse because she likes to ask about how Amp is doing. It started when Amp was still in recovery since humans heal slower, Recluse would always track him down after but now he stays where she can find him easily. Sometimes she feels that he’s coddling her but really, He knows she could find him anyways despite her being blind, he just doesn’t want to make her spend the extra effort when they’re going to have a chat regardless.

-Anty’s personality is the typical prickly asshole expected of a Fell universe monster, they don’t show care for anyone and are constantly making remarks about things. Then Amp came along and took everything in stride, having come from a household soaked through in sarcasm and snide remarks as a way of showing fondness. The two somehow ended up going from using each other for their own benefit to them being near inseparable. It’s kind of obvious that Amp is Anty’s favorite but if anyone points it out then Anty gets huffy- even though everyone including Anty know it to be true. Having someone point out that they care is weird and causes them to react negatively
