We’re trained to be obsessed with love and relationships from a young age and being single is treated as being incomplete and the result is people, whether straight or not, forcing themselves into roles that don’t actually fit them with people they often don’t even like that much, which makes a lot of people very unhappy for long stretches of time, especially in their youth. This happens to people all around the gender/sexuality spectrum, and recognizing and confronting that is hard! Some people never do!
