HypnoToad! 👁👁 Check out that camouflage! I believe this is a Coastal Plains Toad/Gulf Cost Toad. (Incilius Nevulifer) I was doing some gardening a few months back, when I was in Louisiana, and came across this toad. It was found under a pot that I had set on top of the mulch, in the flower bed. It took me a few days or so before I finally got around to planting the new purchases and this one made itself at home in the meantime. I careful moved it to another pot and continued with my gardening. I’m sure being forcefully moved out of its room in the middle of the day garnered a less than stellar review rating. 😅 It rained really heavily that night. The next day, I checked around for this toad and it was gone. Hung out with this guy for a little bit. He was clearly unimpressed with my non-lizard self. Anolis Carolinensis (Green Anole) Pictured is a male. Green anoles will always have a special place in my heart as the first lizard I remember ever catching when I was little. I remember pulling up to my grandmas new house off Greenwell Springs Road and seeing the tall leaf-like plants which were home to a seemingly endless supply of these. I must have been idk 8 or so at the time.
