Construction Under the Stars. ——— I finally decided to stop here last week. This section of highway between Vaughn and Corona, New Mexico has been under construction for quite awhile. This image is a blend of a tracked sky and a foreground nicely lit by a passing car. The third image is the original, before I blended the Milky Way into the sky. You can see the right side of the Milky Way slowing rising above the horizon. Unfortunately, heavy cloud cover rolled in and blocked my view keeping me from capturing the sky at the time. Coverage was only supposed to be like 25% or something and just my luck, that 25% was right over me. Smh. I drove a few hundred yards and the sky was clear above me, but was still blocked out in the distance. 😕 I captured the sky back on the 7th (of May). I was super excited!!! ——— I’m always afraid to put plants on the horizon of Milky Way images. 😅 The twisting and turning branches make for an extremely intricate design that is quite frankly hard to deal with. You’ll find that most astrophotographers routinely avoid this as well. Hahaha. ——— I’ve finally started getting some worthwhile images from my star tracker!!! I plan on using it much more this season. Stay tuned!!!!!
