The first time, Jacen responds before Oli can even make the request. Mostly because his eyes were asking for it and Oli didn’t look like a single person had offered him a chance to be at ease before. 

“Yes I’m sure,” Jacen says, without hesitation to the man he’d met just the day before. “I’d rather take the five minutes out of my day than have you break out the window or have your five year olds abandoned at school.” 

 O - One wish?

“I wish I’d met Oli a little sooner. A lot sooner.”

 L- Longest friendship?

“My buddy, Cole’s been around since our sophmore year of high school. He was actually Nicky’s roommate’s boyfriend and we saw each other in passing here and there but I didn’t actually get to know him till we both joined the volunteer campus EMT program in our junior year. We decided to do the rest together after that cause, you know, it never hurt to stick together. He’s cool, I love the guy.”

I - Icecream flavour?

“Vanilla’s good. I don’t even remember what ice cream tastes like anymore though because the kids usually get to it before I can even get a lick. If it isn’t them then it’s Oli. To put it simply, by the time I get home from work all the comfort food in the house is gone.”

 V - Very best friend?

“Same guy I decided I want to spend the rest of my life with,” he looks away and grins wide, feeling a little cheesy but also content for being truthful.

 E - Easiest person to talk to?

“The kids,” he laughs. “My biggest epiphanies have from having one of them yell things at me while I explain my problems to them. And when I say kids that includes Dennis too. On the scale, if Dennis tells me to fuck off or asks me why I’m talking to him after I tell him what’s up then it probably means that whatever’s on my plate can be dealt with if I just shut up and think it through. I figure if the problem is daunting enough to startle him into talking to me then I’ve got something real on my hands.”

R - Reason to smile?

so he worked on it. he made saying goodbye a process. one night he'd make dinner (or at leats tyr to cook only to give up and order in. it was dinne runder a candle light and oli laughed about it so jacen woudl call that a win.) and the next ngiht hed make love to oli like he'd never see the man again-and pershaps he woudlnt. there was some truth to the feeling s he put behind his movement. 

the night after he'd simply hold oli at ngiht, their fingers clapsed together, but both quite awake, becuase they were both most relaxed when theywere togeher. small talk, wasnt something their relaitonshop needed so far in btu in those moments, facing oli and asking 'how was your day?" means the world. and thefollwoign ngiht jacen woudl offer to watch the stars fomr the roof after the kids went to bed, even fi they both worke din th e mornign.

which one hogs the blanket: Jacen lol he's a cuddle bug. He loves being warm and cozy so much that he'll be wrappped up in a blanket and still try to get under Oli's arm.

which one cuts the other’s hair: We'll leave that to Oli, who has experience with kids and subsequently hair cutting also.

which one makes coffee for the other every morning: Depends on who's up earlier, which is usually Jacen because he like starting his shifts early but on the days that Oli tries to make it home before the kids wake up, Oli probs leaves a bit in the pot for Jacen when he finally wakes up.

which one picks up the pizza: Rock paper scissor over it lol

which one likes their music on full volume: Jacen likes his music loud. It's a force of habit because he and his crew like keeping the music in the ambulance super loud when it's empty.

which one complains about the crumbs on the bed: Jacen and his neat freak self lol

which one is ticklish: Jacen is dead on the inside and not ticklish at all omg so unless Oli is, then neither thEY'RE BOTH DEAD ON THE INSIDE.

[ T ] I'm sick and I have no one else to be with me. Please come over. 

[ Dean ] Chris hijacked the damn car again. If you tell me what train stops closest to you I'll get there.

[ Dean ] Are you allergic to anything? Gonna swing by the Chinese place on the way and make my beloved son pick up the damn tab for this.

[ Oli ] You left your facebook open on my computer and your ex messaged you.

[ Jace ] I sincerely hope you messaged her back that drunk picture we took of ourselves half naked and kissing last month because that definitely would've been the appropriate response.
