“Youre..” Chris is frozen in place. He thinks about bring a hand over his mouth but his body won’t listen to him. H’s never thought about being a fatehr before. Well, he has-a few times, back when Dean was busy being a terrible father. H3 thought to himself that he’d mever be as terrible to a child as Dean was ot him but otherwise, he’d never thought of it. “Pregnant?” 

And suddenly he thinks of how he would behave with a child if Caro,was sitting in the same room, if Carol was watching to see how he interacted with their child. He thought of how gently he would hold a child if he knew it was a direct extension of himself and the woman that he loves more than he thought he knew how to love as a whole. He thought of how much he cared for the small gifts Carol fave to him. like that tie for his last birthday andnhow he wouldn’t let anyone touch it, and how much more he would caefor the greatest gift of them all. It fsuddenlty felt innaporpoate for him to refer to their child as an it. Chris wondered what he would want ot name thier baby. 

The name “Ben” had appealed to him since he was a child. He’d been an avid Star Wars fan for a long time and in the days that Dean couldn’t do his job, Obi-Wan Kenobi had been Chris’ father. He spent his entire life wanting to name a pet that because he didn’t think he’d ever have children but here he was. 

“Carol, I’m gonna be a dad?” he brehtes, stepping towards her, “Seriously I’m gonna be a dad?” Chris thinks about a child, resembling him but retaining all of Carol’s spunk looking at him for guidance. His heart nearly stops.

Little Chris who lives downstairs. Oh also my best friend too, I guess. Whatever.

Eh, I don’t really like ice cream. Vanilla is ok I guess.

Gives nose/forehead kisses: I think both of them give forehead kisses because if you gave Chris a choice he’d cuddle Carol forever without stop and Carol probably has really easy access t his nose/forehead with all the koala-ing she does lol

Gets jealous the most: For once Chris isn’t the jealous one in the relationship, it’s Carol. Chris is surprisingly secure about his and Carol’s relationship. From the moment she agrees to date him he’s convinced they’re spending forever together because for the first time he worked hard and gave his all into make their relationship happen and he’s domestically inexperienced enough to that that’s all it takes to make forever happen. Carol on the other hand probably gets ready to cut a ho every time a girl gets too close to him at a bar or bats her eyelashes at him. I mean Chris would punch someone out if they were too close to Carol too but with him it’s more of a hey don’t bother her she isn’t interested but with Carol it might come from a tiny place of insecurity? At least early on?

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Carol for a lot of reasons but mostly because she has a car lol but also Chris is the bigger drunk between them. Although like if for some reason she’s out without her girlfriends to look after he he’d go get her if she called no matter where or when.

Takes care of on sick days: Both. Or you know, Carol tries. I don’t know how far her nurturing abilities go but if you couldn’t tell from the last 300 Chris memes you sent (lol) Chris knows how to look after people when push comes to shove. He’d make her nice food stuff and keep up with her medicine doses and cuddle with her under the blankets with a movie on that she probably dozes off to.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: Again, like the other memes say, Chris is doing the throwing into water. Granted it’s a long time before he can bring Carol to the beach with him but when he does the deal is that he gets buried in the sand and she gets tossed in the water lol 

Gives unprompted massages: Oh Chris for sure, he’s constantly just trying to be cute and pressing at her shoulders or back of head. Kisses may or may not follow his fingers. Just saying.

Drives/rides shotgun: lol yet another question that has more to do with Chris’ core personality than who in the couple actually does what. Carol doesn’t let Chris drive till he has a license and even after that she probably bands him after experiencing his driving once lol

Brings the other lunch at work: Well I don’t know what Carol actually does but I know once Chris gets over his 30 existential crises about dating a 21 year old, he drops by her school to grab lunch with her and stuff when he’s on his breaks. I think she’d do the thing too if she was free and his office wasn’t too far lol. He’d be so happy to see her if she did the thing though like he thinks it’s so thoughtful, he loves it. I can see his face light up seeing her waiting in his office now.

Has the better parental relationship: For once, Chris lol his parents don’t oppress who he is or control his life, mostly because he let them but also because they’re not that kind of people. Or at least Dean isn’t. Chris could abruptly come out as a transexual go go dancer and Dean would probably shrug and ask if he wanted to go for a beer later and that’s a lot more than Carol can say so.

Tries to start role-playing in bed: You know what, I’m gonna say Carol on this one lol she enables his kinkiness and you’d think Chris is the one initiating but nOPE.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Carol maybe? Just cause she’s younger and less experienced? Or not cause she’s a professional dancer? I mean very different kind of dancing but lol you know my thoughts about Chris and drunk dancing.

Still cries watching Titanic: Maybe Carol. I feel like she either wouldn’t mind the movie, like it or be indifferent to it. We all know about Chris’ Titanic habits.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Carol probably mentions it and Chris tries to pretend he isn’t into it but he’s hella into it. He’s down to do anything cutesy with Carol lbr

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: That’s hard to tell? Neither of them would be afraid to get pricey. Chris has an intense paycheck first so him maybe?

Makes the other eat breakfast: That can go either way too. Sometimes I forget that Carol dates responsible adult Chris and he before heading out of the house in the morning he’d probably go, “I got cereal yesterday, it’s in the cupboard I think,” in a subtle reminder of hey don’t forget to do the thing. But then I could also see her leaving a granola bar out on the table with a post it note on it for him to grab in the morning. cuTIES IM.

Remembers anniversaries: Chris actually. Adult Chris lol. Adult Chris has to keep on top of his schedule so he probably makes little notes on his daily agenda so he doesn’t forget. Adult Chris. lol.

which one hogs the blanket: Koala of course lol Chris just likes holding on to her if he needs warmth. He actually prefers sleeping without a blanket or off on his own corner of the bed, he likes being cool when he sleeps.

which one cuts the other’s hair: Carol knows better than to put scissors in Chris' hands lol

which one makes coffee for the other every morning: Depends who gets up first? At first Chris cause he's waking up for work so he probably leaves some in the pot for her.

which one picks up the pizza: lbr Carol pouts her way out of it every single time. Like the closest he's gotten to her doing it is trying to convince her to go and her latching on to him koala style and him having to get up and go to the door to get the pizza and pay for it with his girlfriend hanging off of him. And he probably did it SUPER casually too like "what are you looking at man, there's nothing here to see bye."

which one likes their music on full volume: Both? Chris likes blasting his music and screaming with it too.

which one complains about the crumbs on the bed: Carol probably. Chris doesn't care about anything ever, especially if he's in bed with her lol 

which one is ticklish: chRIS DONT TOUCH HIM HE'LL HURT PEOPLE AND FEEL BAD ABOUT IT LATER BYE

which one sings and which one plays the music: Chris sings in the shower if that counts for anything. I imagined her singing to her kids or even him when he was stressed out. I mean even if she didn't volunteer it, Chris would ask for her to sing to him if he was upset or scared or something bye.

"Ew, you said the 'L' word," Chris laughs, scrunching up his face into a teasing expression. He steps slowly towards her and when he's close enough, reaches out to wrap his arms around his waist and lift her up into his arms. He laughs when she makes a small noise at being hoisted into the air, "I love you too!"

[ Kid ] I miss you 

[ Matt ] I miss you too kid

[ Matt ] What's the occasion? Last thing you texted me was a fuck off and that was weeks ago.

[ Matt ] You haven't been drinking, have you?

[ Maya ] Come over, we need to talk.

[ Clay ] Listen, if Deck chewed some article of clothing or accessory again, I'm sorry. He's being housebroken for a reason.

spikes the eggnog? I feel like they both do it to fuck with each other + other company bye.

hangs the stockings? Idk Chris isn't really about stockings and stuff but future Chris would do it for the kids lol

leaves cookies and milk out to keep up with the santa tradition? Yet another future Chris thing.

"accidentally" throws away the fruitcake. I feel like that's def a mutual decision like one of their parents comes by with fruitcake and they exchange a look and they just know that when the parent leaves that fruitcake is going bye bye.

goes overboard on the whipped cream? Chris probably. He has a ridiculous sweet tooth (probably Dean's fault for raising him on cheap junk food) and he won't say no to sweetening the hell out of anything.

is the inevitable Christmas grinch? Chris tbh he's never pleased with anything, the lights are too crooked, he doesn't like how his presents are wrapped, the tree is too fat to move around, he's a never ending stream of complaints lol

wakes up first on Christmas? MORE FUTURE CHRIS THINGS :D

rolls their eyes as the same cheesy carol plays in the stores for the millionth time? Chris, but as he gets older the eye rolling becomes more fond lol

starts playing Christmas music the day after Halloween? Oh dear definitely not Chris he snaps about how it's not even Thanksgiving yet lol

Chris loves that Carol is petite. He thinks it’s the cutest damn thing in the world.

Chris loves that Carol is patient, rationally so; she never sugar coats things and blindly tells him everything is fine. Rather she walks him through it till things actually are fine and he appreciates that. Growing up never was a strong suit for Chris-having his hand held is sometimes just what he needs.

Chris loves that Carol fights him. She won’t let him get away with a damn thing and he acknowledges that he needs that.

Chris also loves that she plays with him. He’s never laughed so much just play wrestling or messing around with someone before. He enjoys himself with her.

Chris loves that she seems to bring him relief all the time no matter what his problem is. He doesn’t think he could’ve survived Ian’s state of depression after Matt with her there by his side to help him deal with it.

Chris loves that she isn’t intimidated by his demons, rather she’s ready to tackle them-together.

Chris loves that his love for her allows him to experience a side to things he never had before. His love for her allows him to be a better person and he feels that.

Chris hates that he frequently becomes afraid of taking the wrong step with her solely because he values her so much.

Chris hates that she can open him up so easily, making him vulnerable.

Chris hates that sometimes in the very beginning she reminds him of Eni.

Chris hates that she’s bringing out change in him so fast because he’s become so accustomed to being a certain way for so long that it practically comes naturally to him.

Chris hates that he frequently feels like he can’t keep her happy or be good enough for her.

He hates that sometimes she has to shoulder the burden of him being the way he is. He’s experienced few things worse than being the reason behind her sadness.
