✧・゚: *: A Fan fiction : *✧・゚:*
So I really wanted to write something cute between heimdallr and Guan Yu, with their son Heigu! And explore how they'd handle their parental struggles with a baby that can quite literally hear everything. That's what happens when you're the offspring of heimdallr I guess 🤭
All in all just something cute I thought about for their little family! 🥺 so please do enjoy!!
Heimdallr and Guan Yu had always known that their newborn son, Heigu, was special. He had inherited both his father's powers, making him a force to be reckoned with even as a baby. But with great power came great responsibility, and taking care of Heigu was no easy task.
"Heigu, please go to sleep," Guan Yu whispered, gently rocking the baby in his arms. "We need to get some rest too."
But Heigu only fussed, his blue piercing eyes wide open and alert. Heimdallr frowned, listening intently to the sounds of the room. He could hear the creaking of the wooden floorboards, the rustling of the leaves outside, even the faint hum of a mosquito flying by.
"I can't believe how sensitive his hearing is," Heimdallr said, shaking his head. "He must be able to hear everything."
"He's definitely inherited your hearing," Guan Yu jokes, chuckling and trying to make light out of the situation they were in.
"But it's a good thing. He'll never be caught off guard by an enemy."
"But it's making it hard for him to sleep," Heimdallr pointed out. "We need to do something to help him relax."
Guan Yu nodded thoughtfully. "Maybe we should sing to him. I heard that babies find it soothing."
Heimdallr raised an eyebrow. "Sing? I don't know if I remember how to do that."
"Come on, it can't be that hard," Guan Yu said, grinning. "We can do it together."
So the two gods began to sing, softly at first, then gradually getting louder as they gained confidence. Just trying to make Heigu focus on one sound, their voices. Heigu's eyes began to eventually close, and his tiny fists unclenched as he relaxed.
"He's falling asleep," Heimdallr whispered, grinning with delight. "I can't believe it actually worked."
But their victory was short-lived. Just as Heigu drifted off, he began to fuss again, his eyes snapping open. They both signed.
"He must be hungry then," Guan Yu said, looking at Heimdallr. "I think it's time for you to do your thing."
Heimdallr looks down at the baby, clearly not excited at all for what was to come. He was tried of this, but he had no choice. Closing his eyes and focusing, feeling his body shift and change. When he opened his eyes again, he was no longer the fierce god of the Bifrost, but a woman with gentle features and soft round curves.
Guan Yu handed Heigu to Heimdallr, slightly blushing at the sight of his partner's new form. Heimdallr didn't use it often, mostly because she hadn't tried before and it was still relatively new.
Heimdallr cradled Heigu in her arms and began to feed him. It was a strange new sensation, but also a comforting one. Heigu suckled contentedly, his little hands grasping at Heimdallr's fingers.
"He's growing so fast," Guan Yu said, watching them both with a mixture of exhaustion and pride.
"Before we know it, he'll be all grown up and ready to take on the world."
Heimdallr smiled, feeling a surge of love and protectiveness for her son. "I hope so," she said softly. "He's going to be a great warrior some day, I can feel it."
"He already is," Guan Yu said, leaning in to kiss Heigu's forehead. "He's our son, after all."
