I got Rubber fig, Monstera adansonii (swiss cheese ), and heart Fern I was little sad as Monstera came with black dots and torn leaf but we'll see how it goes

Two months taking care of my hearts fern!

My poor Heart Fern (Hemionitis arifolia) - #plantfailfriday - I just couldn't keep up with the rapid water usage and the requirement of evenly moist soil. Eventually, the leaves remained in their curled state, unwiling to rehydrate. Discouraged, I left the plant for dead - it sat in a corner for MONTHS as I was planning to discard it come spring time. However, just yesterday, I noticed a living leaf! Sure enough, at the soil level, I found several new leaves emerging among the crispy dead stems. Perhaps this fern is hardier than I first thought! After clearing away the dead stems, I'm now eagerly awaiting whatever new stems this fern has in store! Learn when to water a leafy plant: once I found a bright enough area for this plant to live, I let it photosynthesize until it showed me some sign of dehydration: in this case, leaf curl (other signs: wilting, slight leaf discoloration). I lifted the pot to feel how light the soil was at this severely dehydrated point. After loosening (aerating) and fully saturating the soil (and doing this time lapse), from this point on, I will rehydrate the soil a FEW DAYS BEFORE the weight of the pot is as light as I just felt today. A current favourite in the jungle family: Heart fern is sprouting an adorable new leaf 🌿💚😁😍. Like most ferns they don't need a lot of light, but definitely isn't easy to keep if you are forgetful when it comes to watering. I like to water them every 2-3 days plus some spraying to increase humidity to keep the leaves looking happy.
