Marvel Rivals Strategists: Modern Hospital AU Ideas
Note that this is purely for fun. If you're mad about your main or have different ideas, feel free to take the AU concept and make your own thing. I'd love to read them!
Mantis: Newby CNA, great bedside manner. A little naive though, and some of the nurses take advantage of that to get her to take on extra work for them. Loki and Adam always seem to work the same shifts as her.
Loki: Seasoned registered nurse, doesn't care if he misses your IV the first time. Saves up all his PTO for multiple week long vacations. Somehow always absent on inspection days. Convinces Mantis to do his charting. Somehow they don't get caught.
Cloak and Dagger: Fresh out of nursing school, they try to do it by the book which can hold up patient care. Will say fuck if they drop your IV and then apologize profusely (Tyrone laughs awkwardly instead, but you get the idea). Sue appreciates their efforts, but can't figure out how to tell them they're five patients behind the schedule.
Rocket: Radiology Tech, the FBI has raided his house for questionable Google searches regarding uranium. He told them it was for his job. Has funny jokes when you're going in for a procedure though. Helps Luna when her computer breaks.
Susan Storm-Richards: Your classic MD (plus PHD/DO/PharmD, girl would do it all. It's kinda canon already). She's a great doctor, patient and compassionate. Just don't get her started on the latest research or you'll think you're talking to Reed...
Ultron: Literal WebMD. Tells you those morning sniffles are actually cancer. Alternatively– that one seasoned doctor with no bedside manner. His solutions are surgery or experimental injections, it's a lose-lose situation.
Deadpool: The reason you're in the hospital. Alternatively– that one really chill tech you're prettyyyy sure is high af. Constantly playing pranks or hiding random things in people's pockets. Will steal your pens.
Jeff: The hospital therapy dog. Good cuddles. Will eat your gross hospital food for you. Deadpool takes him home for nights/the holidays.
Adam Warlock: The Perfect Nurse. Could go into any specialty and thrive. He's working on getting his practitioner license. Mantis and Loki make him go with them on their break to the local tea shop. Buys the most generic Boba Tea but loves it every time. He considers Sue to be a great mentor and is a great listener when she rambles about research.
Luna Snow: Your GenZ receptionist. Convinces Admin to let her film TikToks at work and makes everyone else join in randomly. Loki loves doing it to avoid work, Tandy and Tyrone don't understand some of the trends, and Mantis doesn't know any of the trends. She's also the type to blast trendy music at the desk (would make your sick granny listen to KPop). Helps hide everyone's snacks and coffees when Admin comes through.
Gambit: Some sort of registered nurse specialty. He recently transfered from New Orleans. No one can understand a word he's saying, except for Rocket and Deadpool who think everyone else is crazy for not knowing Cajun accents. He shamelessly flirts with his patients, their families, coworkers, visiting drug company representatives, the CEO. Loves to make the old ladies blush. Everyone's shocked to learn he's married (they think Rogue's too good for him). He keeps their wedding photos at his work station pinned up with cutesy pins and stickers the girls give him. Would wear fun lanyards or badge clips that match with the girls. It was Luna's idea but Sue got excited so now everyone has their own cute name badge (they forced one on Rocket by hiding all the spares until he got used to it).
