Of course the vast majority of these hate groups are White, and some mentioned on this map are not hate groups, but are seen by White people as groups that are or has the potential to be a nuisance to the advancement of White people and their laws against non-Whites, that they have to target them & label them "hate groups" for when the time comes to erase them, they will appear justified.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) does a fantastic job of tracking HATE and Extremism in America.

For more than 50 years, the SPLC has been tracking, exposing and countering hate and antigovernment extremism in America. 

The newly-released report warns of intensifying hate and antigovernment groups. These groups are built on the oppression of Black people, women, immigrants, Jews, Muslims, and Latinx, low-income, Indigenous and LGBTQ+ communities.

This report uncovers the playbook these groups and their leaders have used to undermine civil and human rights over the past year. They have meticulously prepared the groundwork for an authoritarian takeover and a more deeply divided nation.

Some key takeaways:

SPLC documented 835 active antigovernment groups (compared to 702 the previous year) and 595 active hate groups (compared to 523 the previous year).

These hate groups included the highest number of active anti-LGBTQ and white nationalist groups ever recorded by the SPLC.

Increasing numbers of elected officials and influencers on the far right are turning to conspiracy and theocracy in their politics.

There has been a coordinated resurgence of attempts to keep education shackled to a narrow, authoritarian version of Christianity. In 2023, we documented 297 active Moms for Liberty chapters.

The SPLC also compiles an interactive Hate Map where you can see specific hate groups in your area:

To begin, why would you put anti-government groups and hate groups in the same category, then call a plot of those two types of groups a hate map? Does that help fund-raising? Does it accomplish any other goal of the SPLC to make a category error like that?

When Moms for Liberty, a group that advocates public education reform, makes it onto SPLC's hate map, you know something is wrong with the SPLC, the map, and free speech rights.

Trump’s campaign, ELECTION, and the suge in hate crimes

In a study by Griffin Edwards* & Stephen Rushin**,  titled “ The Effect of President Trump’s Election on Hate Crimes,” a direct correlation was found between a surge in hate crimes and both Trumps rhetoric on the campaign trail and the validation of said ideology with Trumps election. Below is pulled directly from the report:

Methods: We use time series analysis and panel regression techniques to examine the relationship between President Trump’s election and trends in reported hate crime rates at the national and local level from 1992 through 2017. 

Results: President Trump’s election was associated with a statistically significant surge in reported hate crimes across the United States, even when controlling for alternative explanations. Counties that voted for President Trump by the widest margins in the presidential election experienced the largest increases in reported hate crimes. 

Conclusions: Using the data from this study, we offer a novel theory that builds on the existing literature on the causes of hate crimes. We hypothesize that it was not just Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric throughout the political campaign that caused hate crimes to increase. Rather, we argue that it was Trump’s subsequent election as President of the United States that may have validated this rhetoric in eyes of perpetrators and fueled the hate crime surge.
