「真琴」－　Blinking, a bit caught off guard Makoto smiled, giving Haru a confused look. “Um... If you want...? I don’t know where you would, since it’s too cold outside but...” 

He had just been putting away some of Ran and Ren’s toys and had come across the beach balls they must have found in storage. He had been about to deflate them and put them away when Haru had come over.

Detention- if asked Rin would have said it was because he was on his phone while he shouldn't have been but the actual swearing too close to the staff while on his phone. It hadn't even been one of the big ones. 'Dammit' work it's way into his normal conversation so when Kisumi called to cancel their plans, the word kind of slipped. It wasn't his fault he crossed paths with a teacher when it had. To make matters worse, when the name 'Matsuoka' echoed authoritatively afterwards, his friend instantly started laughing. Which forced Rin to mutter 'bastard', only piling on the punishment.

So now he was stuck in the silence room with only the clock and pencils as noise. Arms crossed as a pillow over his desk and his eyes watched the clock. Again, he heard his name with a warning to do something productive. An internal groan was a protest that couldn't dig him any deeper. Pushed up from the desk, his eyes left the clock. There weren't many on the list today. Not that he had much to go on. Getting detention wasn't exactly a habit but happened enough to know there had been times when the room had more students.

He was never going to forgive that cotton candy haired idiot. "Hey." An arm was hung off the desk as he inched closer to one of the others. "What's keeping you out of trouble?" He needed suggestions other than homework. It was probably a long shot but the kid seemed to be off the radar.

Oh, this was certainly unacceptable. He stared at his progress report with much disgust and shame. How could he have dropped a letter grade? Instead of making perfect marks, he had one ‘B’ holding him down. It was his art grade. Why did he have to take that annoying class anyway? It was the only class he didn’t excel at, and now it was biting him in the butt.

On the book work side of the class, Rei did excellent. That’s probably why he had the ‘B’. If it were all up to skill, he’d be raking up his near perfect record with a but fat ‘C’ to blame. The shame was what was making him hesitant to ask for help. He loved excelling, being as good as his older brother, but he’d never be able to without help. Swallowing hard, he walked the halls, the paper crumpled in his hand. 

When he found Haruka, before they were due for practice, he approached him. Makoto had been occupied with something else, making this the perfect opportunity to keep it between himself and Haruka.
