ćéćļ¼Ā Ā The glare sent a wave of fear through him. The last thing heād wanted was for Makoto to get angry, yet that was exactly what heād done. Great going, Haru. Remember what happened the last time you made pirates angry?Ā Dropping his gaze to his lap, he tried his best to ignore the voices in his head. Of course he remembered. Less than a day had passed since it happened, and a dull pain in his chest still reminded him of their danger.
Ā Makoto would not hurt him like that though, Haru was sure of it. He wasnāt like the rest of his crew. He was kind and caring. He didnāt think Haru was a, what had they called him, a slut?Ā
Ā Ā āIām sorry, Makoto. Iā I didnāt mean to make you angry,ā trying to keep his voice even, Haru wanted to avoid starting anything.Ā āLetās talk about something else..ā It was the only thing he could think to do.Ā āLike⦠whatās your favourite food to eat? When youāre on land.ā Earlier when he had complimented the food, Makoto had told him the food was much better on land. Haru was curious to know more about it.Ā
ćēē“ćļ¼ćThe change in topic was a welcomed shift. He didnāt want to be rude or cold to the other after all. However, he had made Haru think he was angry with him, which was also something that he hadnāt wanted.
Giving a soft sigh, the brunet ran a hand through his hair, relaxing back a bit from the way he had unconciously tensed up.Ā āYou didnāt...ā He was just defensive, thatās all. But he didnāt feel like explaining.Ā
āMy favourite food..?ā That was a difficult choice. There were a lot of different foods that he enjoyed when he was on land. Anything tasted better on land in his opinion, but that was beside the point. The brunet huffed a laugh, giving Haru a small smile.Ā āYou ask difficult questions, you know that?ā He was just teasing him, trying to lighten the mood as well.Ā āHm.. curry is probably one of my favourites.āĀ
