He’s the only thing about One Piece that I like. I like that he just... seems like the ‘straight man’... it’s a good counter to the bullshit that goes on in that dumbass series. 

Alright, we’re about to get pretty personal here. My own mother is an abusive, manipulative person. The only mother figure I’ve ever had (my grandmother) is better than that, but still not what I think I needed growing up. When I started watching Steven Universe, I saw a lot of what I wanted in a mother in Pearl. I fell in love with her. She’s all the mother I’ve ever wanted.

It really doesn’t have much to do with his character. I just love his design and his interactions with Robin. 

She’s such an affectionate diamond, and she’s grown into a motherly figure to more than just one of her own kind. Blue’s so beautiful too! Her design’s super aesthetically pleasing. The song she sings in Future too~ ah, beautiful.
