It's astounding how people you beg to be in your life forever never stay and it rips you apart every god damn time. But the people who do stay we take for granted and push away. They are never the people we expect. And one day we realize they will be there forever. We accept we are not alone and life may just be okay.
tell the demons that seem to give you hell everyday to go away tell those monsters under your bed to find a new place to sleep tell the insecurities that today is the day that you will start to love yourself and watch - how those things that you never thought could happen, happen

This poem is silly and pretty self-explanatory. At the time that I wrote it, I was wearing lots of winter boots and smoking herbal cigarettes and drinking lots of chocolate milk. Those were my proclivities.
This was also inspired by the song Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk by Rufus Wainwright.
I was at the park bending over the water fountain for a drink, and a garden snail was already there, winding itself over the faucet for water. I pressed the button and let it drink first.

You apologised for sending me a text about a rainbow.
August had just started,
I really enjoyed our texts,
You said, there was a beautiful rainbow in the sky that caught ya eye,
Blessed.
I said do not apologise, and with that you replied,
Its not how a guy should be?
I said that’s exactly how you should be,
A man should admire things that are pretty, it’s perfect and you was worth it the time the effort.
