"HALOS" by SpY

This kinetic installation operates through a precise mechanical system that orchestrates synchronized and asynchronous movement, allowing each element to respond subtly to light conditions and spatial positioning.

The reflective surfaces amplify ambient light, producing shifting visual patterns that evolve throughout the day and in response to artificial illumination.

Premiered in Florence during the Bright Festival in April 2026,

Fun fact: The comic strip seen in the background was created by Louis Ralph - Michael Ralph's son - who worked on Good Omens as the concept artist. Michael Ralph, Good Omens Season 2 production designer, commented, “I wanted something in the background that was colorfully loud, dynamic and to contain a message. We take great care in creating subliminal subject matters and meanings for everything on screen so it weaves into the visual fabric of the story we are telling. I asked Louis to have the comic revolve around the horrible crime of stealing halos”.
