But I have to say, this BL, thus far, has a REALLY good relationship progression between the two leads. Like, instead of the blushing maiden trope with Cher (Chay sp?), you get this really charming early 20-something who catches an immediate crush on his boss, then flirts his way to attention he's not quite ready for. He wanted to open Gun up, without necessarily being all the way ready to open up himself, and believe me as someone who was very much once in Cher's position, that shit is so well-portrayed it makes me wonder if they've got queer talent behind-the-scenes.

It's shockingly tasteful. And the guy playing Gun is really fucking good, because he's so good at portraying all the little minor frustrations and charms that come with being older and more experienced while trying to establish a romantic relationship with someone still figuring themselves out.

There's actual physical progress too. They kiss, they share a bed together, they work up to things. Honestly, the fact that this is rated lower than My School President, which I don't even have to watch to know it's a high budget remake of 2Gether, only there's probably more music and they'll have a sophomoric kiss in the final episode, really speaks to how conditioned fans of this genre are to disappointment. They overlook quality because they've forgotten what it looks like.

Anyways, official verdict, A Boss and a Babe gets my seal of approval, and I am one of the most viciously unforgiving consumers of queer Thai content on the planet. There's less than a dozen BL/GL dramas I have ever managed to sit through, start to finish, and A Boss and a Babe is making that list.

I have a few things to say about this episode,

Secondly, guncher is so freaking obvious, how does no one else know the two have something going !! Also watch that livestream go viral, it has too. I want it too. Please be viral hehe. Like I want that to be how the people in the office knows about them, like it’s stupid but it’s cute. It’s literally a live stream with 80 viewers, which is an increase from the last live ( if I rmb correctly) unless they are his teammates, the viewers could be some colleagues. 👀

For this specific scene, I feel like it should have been “ you said you love Tian ” HEAR ME OUT. I feel like Thoop is insecure, he thinks that nobody cares for him. Cher/Laem loved Tian which was why he kept caring for Thoop ( and Gun loves Thoop, just that Thoop doesn’t see it himself ) Thus, Thoop has this mentality that Cher is only taking care of him because Cher still loves Tian. Personally I feel like “ you said you loved Tian “ doesn’t really represent the anger? Desperation? That Thoop is feeling in this scene. I don’t know how else to describe the feeling. But it’s almost like you think that this person is taking care of you because they feel guilty and because they love someone who was always taking care of you. And it’s feels as if when that person loves someone else, they no longer have a reason to love and care for you. And you have been abandoned by the people you care about once again. That’s how I will describe Thoop’s feeling. Is Thoop still a brat. Yes, but just my thought on the situation.
