They can't be more AkkTheo than this. Akk beaming smile and the fact Theo did boxer and canonically stronger, him carrying Akk just makes sense.

This was taken during the filming of their series so they're probably still in character but their expression and body language is so GunCher. Gun's sweet and calm smile carrying Cher's who looks so excited to be there.

Looking at this pic you can straight up it's TopMew tbh. Once again taken during the filming so they're probably in character. But the body language and styling bruh just a casual topmew pic that can be taken during their free time.

With Be My Player Two coming out soon, it’s going to be interesting to see the way the different actors take on the same characters at different times in their lives.

In A Boss and a Babe, we got Thi and Zo already an established couple who had been together for a while, being annoyingly cutesy and driving their friends and co-workers insane. The story was about Cher entering the tech industry with (almost) all of his e-sports gaming team—seriously where’s Praew in ABAAB—and falling for the company’s CEO; Gun. Who was played by Force.

Whereas in Be My Player Two, Cher is a much less important character, he’s a secondary lead with no love interest just trying to help his bestie Thi win over the heart of Zo, whilst Thi also deals with trying to get their e-sports team to victory.

When GMMTV came out with ABAAB on their 2023 docket, I thought the rest of the story would no doubt be done by them. So when Wabi Sabi dropped the pilot for BMPT, I was lowkey surprised. I thought GMMTV would’ve bought the rights to all the books in the series, but they didn’t—I highly doubt they would’ve lost in a bidding war to Wabi Sabi, let’s be honest now.

So now we’re getting Maxky and Bas playing leads Thi and Zo, who were originally played by Fluke and Ohm. Plus Jack and Cher as secondary leads who at GMMTV were played by Mike and Book, only now they’re played by Jeng and Gunner.

It will be interesting to see the way the different actors come at the roles, especially since BMPT is set before ABAAB, when they were younger and still in university opposed to working corporate jobs.

I feel like the overlap will actually be pretty good even though the shows are from two completely different companies because New Siwaj directed both, and he’s pretty consistent with his in world lore. He’s a great director, has a good eye and works well with his actors. He’s just not the best at NC scenes lol, he’s not really a high heat director but then again neither GMMTV nor Wabi Sabi are exactly known for their high heat productions. That’s more DMD and MeMindY’s area of expertise lol.
