I was thinking about much both Gun and Cher needed each other. In some sorts of way, they both met who they needed at the same time. They saved each other. Gun is hurt by Thyme ( his best friend ) because of an argument that has yet to been revealed. But because of that Gun slowly chose to isolate himself, he smiled less often and he was much harsher than before both on himself and onto others, Gun was stricter on himself and has a wall built up around him. He truly believed that he was the one that was in the wrong, he believed that he was the reason why Thyme left. When Cher appeared, Cher managed to brought Gun out of his shell. Because Cher was so innocent and so pure, in some sort of way. Cherās innocent and straightforwardness helped Gun realised or do things he would never had even do or think about before. Because Cher cares, and simply because of that. Of course, Aoi and Jack cares about their Boss too but with Cher itās different. You would think that with rumours flying around the office about Gun being gay, the colleagues would comfort Gun but no. Cher was the first one that did and said, ā see Iām not appalled by you ā ( I donāt remember what he actually said yāall but itās smtg along the lines of this ) Gun, himself didnāt know he needed someone to comfort him. He didnāt realised how affected he was, yet Cher did because Cher was simple-minded. Like itās obvious that someone would be hurt if we talked behind their backs but in Gunās perspective, he wasnāt hurt, why? Because it probably happened so many times that he was ā immuneā to it. Cher made Gun more confident in a sense, that he wasnāt in the wrong. Cher was an assurance that let Gun knew he was loved, he was validated,he wasnāt the one at fault and he deserve love. Likewise, Cher has been suppressed by his feelings. Cher is a sunshine, he is always able to spread his positivity around but what about him? Who truly cares and wants to listen to what he has to say like how he does to others ? Donāt get me wrong, Cherās group of friends cares about him. In fact, they were all ready to jump in to help him. But itās different, yes they know about Cherās situation. But, none of them really took the time or moment to say ā hey, whatās really happening? ā because they know about the situation, they have been alongside him so instead of wanting to know how he feels about the situation. They say ā Bro you need to stop lending money, I think thoops into some bad shit ā ( not in exact words but the vibe uk ) itās not a bad thing, they still care for cher and they really do. But Gun is different, Gun wants to know how Cher feels and he is willing to listen to everything Cher has to say. I think thatās all Cher needed. Someone to listen to what he has to say, Gun is someone Cher can talked to because he is different from his friends, if he said how he feels to his friend, it felt like an additional burden to his already busy friend. But Gun said, ā because you helped me, I want to help you too. I want you to know how wonderful it is to be heard ā ( not in exact words again but vibes there ) and the the fact is Gun entered Cherās life in the moment he needed it just like how Cher entered Gunās. It was at the peak, when both of them were at their worse. Imagine how hurt, Cher was at the class reunion. His first love, someone he really cares about. He feels guilty that he wasnāt there for her. He was supposed to her close friend but he didnāt even know that she was struggling ( pregnancy situation ) Cherās thought about the whole situation was ā if only, I was good enough. If I had tried harder to be there for Tian. She would still be alive now. ā He feels bad about himself, he blames himself. And he thinks everyone blames him too. I would say that how Tian is being remembered is the only thing left he could do for Tian. Cher wants Tian to be remembered for who she is. So when his classmate insulted Tian. He was hurt? Furious ? The last thing Cher could do was remember her, and make sure everyone remembers her the way he did. For who she was.
