Intro to Technical Writing was a great time to use for checking tumblr and group planning.Â
Nap before Principles of Advertising. Class was interesting. Tech's Ad Team presented to us. They're campaign for Nissan was fantastic! I really hope they do well!
Statistics was just so exciting. My notes are pretty, that's all that mattered.

Group Planning #2
The night before last, Megan and I regrouped to talk about what we've worked on and to finalize ideas. We have a new layout for the tables.Â
We are still using computers. One will have clips that people can play that show how movies portray women. The other will have a slideshow of actors/actresses before and after their photos are altered in Photoshop. That goes along with the Dove Evolution video.
We have three tri-fold poster boards. One is a screen that we are projecting the video onto and the other two are being used to compare how the media portrays men and women. One board will focus on men and the other on women.Â
I showed Megan the completed video and she seemed shocked by what she saw. The images were not shocking because these were facts and images taken from everyday ads, but I think she was shocked by seeing so much of it in one place. During the Dove Evolution video, she asked me, "Do people actually do that?" I told her that it was a part of advertising. I think many people will be surprised by that because they assume that stars are flawless. That is not the case, but the media makes people believe that that is the case. I can't wait to share this with people on Tuesday.
Small Group Planning Session #1
Today, Megan and I met up to discuss our project. By the end of class on Thursday, each of us had an idea as to what we want to do independently; today, we collaborated and married our ideas. Megan is focusing on more print- media related items; whereas, I'm working with more computer-based items. I am employing my video-editing skills to create a video that includes clips of relevant topics while implementing full videos filled with interesting information. I may possibly include other statistics in the video, or save those for use in the PowerPoint that Megan and I are working on Tuesday after class- the soonest time we are both free. We created a rough idea of how we want our table to be laid out- I believe this will most likely change slightly, but our overall idea feels strong and cohesive.
