With this tasty recipe, you can make your own version of the famous Culver's Butter Burger and enjoy it at home. On top of juicy beef patties are melted cheese and onions that have been sauted. The food is served on toasted buns with a little butter. People in the Midwest love it!
Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened. 4 slices American cheese. 1/2 cup diced onions. Ketchup, mustard, and pickles for topping.
Instructions: Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready. Make 4 patties out of the ground beef that are all the same size. Add salt and pepper to each patty. Toast the buns until they are golden brown by putting them on the grill or griddle cut side down. Take it out and set it aside. Put the butter on a hot grill or griddle and let it melt. Put the burger patties on the surface that has been butter and cook for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. Add a slice of American cheese to each patty and let it melt in the last minute of cooking. Put the diced onions in a little butter and cook them until they get soft and clear while the burgers are cooking. Spread mustard and ketchup on the bottom half of each toasted bun before putting the burgers together. Put a burger patty with melted cheese on top of it. Pour some onions that have been cooked and pickle slices on top of the cheese. To finish the burger, put the top half of the toasted bun on top of the toppings.
