In the caravan I have a vast array of found objects hidden away in boxes and tins, collected over the last two decades and intended for art jewellery pieces. I think this is where my heart has always lain creatively but it often gets buried under the pressure to produce work that will be popular and earn a living. Recently, it’s been good to meet up with these lost treasures again, like catching up with old friends and create a new meaning and purpose for them. I’ve always loved assemblage art and found object jewellery, each with its own narrative and history. I intend for my finds to tell a story to you too and no matter how edgy, rustic or primitive, they must never slide into the overstated and must always be wearable. This assemblage of found objects dating from the Jurassic period through to Roman times and beyond, have been created in a balance of reality representing humanity’s constant desire to examine our past in order to make sense of our present. . . . #assemblageart #assemblagejewelry #romanglass #romanglassbeads #greyware #romangreyware #greywarepottery #fossiljewelry #artjewellery #foundobjects #lostandfound (at Harrowby, Lincolnshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMPOWQxBPUs/?igshid=1gxx0jzqq33x2
