This is honestly the first time I’ve ever heard of Plastors and their role in art and sculpture. I sought to make a simple approach and use one material as the cast: A photo frame. Making the cushion was initially difficult, especially perfecting the linear sides. Pouring the mixture was easy with assistance. The time was difficult, waiting almost two hours for the Plaster to dry, and so was taking the clay off. It’s my first time making a Plaster, so I expected it wouldn’t come out perfect. Utilizing empty space to create art was an interesting experience for me.
