Hi guys~ sorry I haven’t been able to post consistently these days, just know that I’m always doing my best to put as much content out for you guys as I can~

Anyway, let’s get into today’s lesson!

🌸 When you want to compliment someone (maybe your bf/gf) that they are so pretty/handsome that you just “can’t take your eyes off them”, you can use the expression “눈을 뗄 수 없다”.

🌸 This expression, according to the dictionary, means “can't take one's eyes off sb/sth”, “can't pull one's eyes away from sb/sth” or “can't look away”.

🌸 This can also be used in situations where something is so interesting/addicting that you just can’t turn away or stop doing/looking at it.

Now, let’s look at some examples!

🌸 스테파니는 남자들이 눈을 뗄 수 없는 부류의 여자다.

Stephanie is the type of a girl that guys can't take their eyes off.

🌸 조지프는 정말 멋있지만 너무 못됐다는 것을 알기 때문에 그에게서 눈을 뗄 수 있었으면 좋겠다.

I wish that I could pull my eyes away from Joseph because I know he's terrible, but he's just so hot.

🌸 인터넷에서 역겨운 사진을 볼 때마다 싫지만 눈을 뗄 수가 없다.

Whenever I see disgusting photos on the Internet, I just can't look away.
