#gotdammit

it is currently 11:45 at night and i just spent the 20 after 11 in a duct taping frenzy. so my basement door is falling apart where the entire bottom half is just gone, i don’t have a clue WHY the door looks like it got battering rammed by a ram, and actually getting a new door seems it will never happen. this is a problem because i have 2 cats, one lazy, one crazy. there is a tote and boxes that are used to keep the majority of the opening covered, but with cats, every little crevice has to be bolted up or they will manage to slip out at anytime especially during the night. so far the remains of the door have been used to keep it cat proof, but thats far from fool-proof. my crazy cat always manages to slip out whenever the barrier has any faults and tonight just as i was about to go to bed, i realize she’s outside. i’ve had enough. i grab her ass from the ducking middle of the night and go scouring for anything that is oblong enough to be taped over the space she’s been escaping through. i manage to get the middle roll thing of some paper towels with a knife and start taping the hell out of it over the space while i keep the gremlin in the bathroom for chaos control. my big loaf cat just sits and watches. after the roll is encased with duct tape i decide thats not enough. i then proceed to tape the piece of door i had been using as a blocker with the part with the bar lock up and tape it entirely over the gap. Now, its the eerie silence after battle and i’m sitting here on the couch in the dark with a pepsi can to hopefully calm down and go to sleep. typing this has calmed me, so that’s how my night has gone. thanks for reading
