I just want to say, this isn’t a piece meant to attack anyone AMAB or male ID’ing. My writing stems from my own past experiences and intrusive thoughts I deal with on a daily basis because of those experiences. More than anything, I wanted to write about the sinking feeling that comes with knowing you will be the last person out of the building, the slowest in a crowd. It’s a danger that people often aren’t forced to consider until they are disabled in some way themselves. Also, this is about just Being A Woman TM (one with OCD and anxiety) Hope this helps someone feel seen. Xo 💛
