The last of the peonies.
“Valarie, you’re a mess. What happened?”
Journal pages from Earth Day (April 22) and from spring, but more over still have left 2 days in Spring season till it ends within about a week later. Anyhow, Goodbye Spring & for now byes.
Onto More activities later, that is we shall see in time.
“Je peux créer ma propre vie.”
Written on a post-it I’d willfully pressed between the pages of my abandoned planner months ago. I don’t even know why I pulled it out, the days I trudge through are absent of anything worth planning, but it was too late.
I wrote it in March, the busiest, most endlessly promising month that had been swept away with stay at home orders and early quarantines. From then to now it felt as if life had ended. Like there was too much between me and the golden chances those few weeks seemed to hold. But seeing this now, with heated Summer winds reminding me to forget the hurdles of Spring, I must also forgive them. There is still promise somewhere, perhaps it is simply time for me to raise my head high enough to see it.
Je peux créer ma propre vie. I can create my own life.
Audrey Hepburn.
